“noisy cell like room”

I was very disappointed in this hotel, having expected something far more up market. I was put in a cell-like room (the smallest I have ever experienced) which just accommodated a single bed, and which was very noisy (though I had asked for a quiet room). You could hear conversations above, below, in the corridor, and even worse there was a noisy generator that switched on an off all night. Never again.

“Highly recommended”

Conveniently situated halfway between the station and the main square, only metres from the aerobus stop to and from the airport, and near some excellent restaurants (eg Diana and Da Pietro) the Metropolitan proved an ideal base for sightseeing. The main problem was finding it in a small alley not named on many maps (print out the map on the hotel's web-site or one from Google before you go). The public areas of the hotel are smart and modern, and the staff helpful. My (excellent value) room was attractive and well-equipped, but not spacious as the large bed took up most of the floor space; this was fine for me but two people would have been falling over each other. The cold buffet breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. If I return to Bologna I'll definitely stay here again.

“Perfect stay at the Metropolitan”

Stayed at the Metropolitan in Bologna in July 2010, fantastic staff, clean and comfortable hotel. Great location, only a matter of steps from the main street and a 10 minute walk from the train station.

Walking is a must in this city, driving a car would be a nightmare and parts of the centro storico (historic centre) are closed to traffic during the day.
Must see
A walk along the world's longest portico, 3.5km, to the Sanctuary of the Madonna of San Luca.
Dining
Ristorante Bolognese just across from the train station had fantastic food and staff and the price were not to bad either

“Would stay there again”

The hotel is in a very convenient and central location with an airport bus stop just on the other side of the road, which is ideal. The location is great for shopping, eating and sightseeing. I had booked a single room which was nice and clean and my only disappointment was that it had no view and very little light as it opened up onto an enclosed space with just a wall opposite and I had to lean out of the window to see some sky. Other than that I was very happy with my stay and would certainly recommend this hotel.

“super location”

quiet little hotel within short walking distance of bus station,train station and square..busstop for airport bus just accross the road..hotel hard to fault and reception staff very helpful but have to say that the single rooms were smallest i've ever seen. lovely buffet breakfast

“Great hotel in perfect location”

Tucked away a little from one of the main streets in Bologna this is a great little hotel. Rooms not huge but very comfortabe and clean. Very friendly and helpfull staff too. Would stay here again for sure.

“OK>”

Not a boutique hotel. Nice lobby and decent rooms, but expected much more for the rates. Good location though. Excellent wine bar right out front.

“If you can, book the Junior Suite”

Beautiful Room and the bestest shower and bath I have ever been in. Shame there is no bar at the hotel Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend.
