“Comfortable; _great_ location”

This hotel is perfectly situated -- easy to get to by train or car, and in the center of the city so it's close to everything. Didn't have a chance to try the hotel restaurant (unfortunately went to Diana, based on recommendation of a chef-friend -- awful), but the menu reads really well. Pluses: location, beds, staff Minuses: city-side rooms are very noisy through the evening (not at night); self-parking is €25 (!); showers are unnecessarily small (we saw two different rooms).

“Great deal on Expedia!”

We were lucky enough to get a great discounted deal on a one night stay at Hotel Portici in Bologna. Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff, close to the railway station and to the centre of town. What more could you want?

“Three Days In Bologna”

We stayed four nights at this hotel in May. The reception area and reception staff were first class. The dining room was splendid but we felt 10 euros each for a fairly standard buffet breakfast was a bit steep so only took it once. The room was a little small but adequate for a short stay. There was just a shower room (as we knew) and the shower cabinet lacked solidity but it was a good powerful shower. Lack of space for toiletries. Pleasant 10 minute walk to the main square. We enjoyed people watching in the square and wandering around the maze of narrow streets and piazzas off the square where we found an abundance of excellent restuarants and bars. If you're into shopping there was also a great choice of designer shops. We took a train trip to Ravenna from the station, 5 minutes walk in the other direction. It only cost about 23 euros return for two of us and we had a great day in Ravenna seeing the mosaics and having more wonderful food and beer.

“good one in bologna”

we stay 4 nights, it was very good but the front desk have a very confused staff.

“great location and style”

beautiful old building restored to very modern look, great location to walk to Centro and to train station. very helpful young hip staff

“Very chic but maybe better for business travelers”

The hotel was very modern, clean, and elegant. The service was very good, wifi was available, and the location was walkable to the main sights of Bologna.

Traveller's tip
We were very comfortable except that the very minimalist decorations did not include a mirror in the room or much space in the bathroom for our stuff. I wondered whether mostly male business travelers use this hotel?

“Wonderful hotel”

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The resteraunt was very elegent and food was excellent. Rooms were clean but rather small. We were not aware that breakfast was not included and were very surprise at check out that we had charges on our bill for our breakfast. We should have been made aware of that cost.
