“Beware of Internet Service”

I chose this hotel for two reasons. It is close to the train station and offers free wireless service. From the outside, this hotel looks quite grim and the neighborhood is a bit dodgy.. Once inside, the hotel is very modern and quite nice. My room was a single, and that truly was the case. It was tiny and looked onto a concrete courtyard. The breakfast was adequate - eggs over scrambled and some suasage'ish tasting meat thing. BUT... The internet service did not work. They gave me a login and password and while I could connect, I could not get through the login screen. I told them about it and they assured me that the service "Devitalia" was aware of the problem and was working to fix it. It never got fixed. As someone in the field of managing a service like this, I know that if someone had really been working on the problem, it would have been fixed in 5 minutes. So what was the alternative to their wireless service? Nothing. In the end I burned through cell phone usage and found a hotel at my next stop. Without a means to adequately research my destination, I end up spending an additional $100 due to there lack of Internet service. I complained about this and they simply said "sorry". I won't return. It is not a four star hotel by any means.

“Desent Hotel”

The hotel has a good location close to the main train station, and down town or the center how they call it is a walking distance. TV has many international channels. Internet is free. Brekfast is OK

“Hotel Masini Bologna”

Hotel di stile moderno in ottima posizione rispetto alla stazione ferroviaria ed al centro storico della città, hall amplia e spaziosa oltre che pretenziosa ma non supportata da un livello di servizio, bar, concierge, ristorante, all'altezza di un 4 stelle, buona la reception. La camera era superior ma con dimensioni piccole, anche per il bagno, anche se discretamente funzionale. Il servizio di colazione e' di tipo self service abbastanza dozzinale e di non grande qualita' per quanto riguarda i prodotti.

Una sola persona alla reception, piuttosto inesperta. Alle 15.00 ho chiesto due federe e mi è stato risposto che lei non poteva allontanarsi e che le signore delle pulizie ormai erano andate via. Dopo ripetute insistenze ho conquistato le federe alle 21.00. La colazione era orribile. Croissants e/o brioches inesistenti!!! Solo dolci che erano lì dal pomeriggio del giorno prima e nemmeno coperti. Squallidissima. Hotel a 4 stelle, più caro di alberghi analoghi, con servizi da 1 stella. Sconsigliatissimo.

“Viale Masini Hotel - via indipendenza-stazione ffss”

Bell'hotel con arredamento moderno. Stanze confortevoli e di recente ristrutturazione. Ben posizionato, di fronte al terminal dei pullmann, è vicino alla stazione ferroviaria ed all'inizio di via Indipendenza. Uniche controindicazioni sono la mancanza di parcheggio gratuito (a pagamento nelle vicinanze convenzionato con l'hotel 15 euro/giorno) e la posizione che rende leggermente insicuro il rientro la notte.Tutto sommato un ottimo compromesso qualità prezzo.

“4 Masini - Bologna”

I really liked the hotel however the room was not really clean and if you wanted to sleep a little more it was impossible because the staff would start talking loud at the corridor while cleaning the other rooms every single day at 9am, was really irritating.
