we found everything within walking distance, excellent choice at breakfast time, room maintained to high standard, comfortable bed, good wifi connectivity, good aircon, very quiet at night even though so close to city centre, only interruption to sleep was the bells! would recommend to everyone would certainly stay again as also good value for money
We were there for a convention. They are centrally located within easy walking distance to many marvelous restaurants, bars and sights. The hotel is a grand hotel, very classy. The staff was extremely accommodating when we wanted to change our room. The city is crazy to manage with a car, which we had. They were very helpful in getting us to and from the hotel.
We stayed for 13 nights in a premier double on the 6th floor (room 620). The room was spacious and had a great view of the sky line of Bologna. The bed was very comfortable and large. The bathroom had just been redone so everything was modern and efficient. The water temperature and pressure were good. This hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere. All staff are very helpful and friendly. Wifi worked fine our entire stay. Breakfast is very good and has a large selection of fresh fruit, pastries, breads, yogurts, meats, salad items, eggs and great coffee. There are buses to the center of town if you get tired of walking the 15/20 minutes. There are also buses to the train station as Bologna is a great place to do day trips from. We were very pleased with our choice of this hotel for our 2 week stay in Bologna, which is a beautiful and exciting city to explore. This was our 4th trip to Italy, having been to Rome, Florence, Genoa, & Turino we liked Bologna for its non tourist atmosphere and friendly people. The city is small and walking is the best way to enjoy it. Its hard to get a bad meal here and the old buildings and streets are just fascinating.
I have over the past ten years or so stayed at many of Bologna's best known hotels- but I enjoyed this one the best. The staff are, in my experience helpful, friendly and unflappable. You only notice them when you need them- the sign of really good staff. Beds and rooms are comfortable- although my room lacked an arm chair- which is why it failed to achieve 5 for facilities. That5 it has no dining room, apart from a breakfast room does not matter as there are so many good restaurants nearby, and anyway, the quality of their breakfasts is superb. I have never had a cooked breakfast in Italy to equal this. All the usual Italian breakfast ingredients plus a superb cooked choice- including bacon eggs- including scrambled to perfection.

Hotel Internazionale is located in the heart of the city, in a historic building on Via Indipendenza , making it one of …More
I studied in Bologna many years ago and knew of the fine reputation of the Tre Vecchi. As a ZanHotel it is still a wonderful place. A few things like the stair carpet from the lobby to the first floor needs replacing but it is kept clean. The rooms are immaculate and a slow drain in the shower was fixed immediately. In the heart of old Bologna, I recommend it highly. I am returning later this month and already have a reservation there.
"Nice hotel between city center and train station"
Fantastic hotel. Properly working air conditioning (I like a cold room). The room itself was large and very clean. Windows didn't face the main street so it wasn't loud. The breakfast buffet was really good as well. Lots of fruit and fun desert like bites.
Lovely Hotel and lovely people, two great restaurants in same street, older decorations and facilities but easily off-set by the ambience. Good for a relaxing few days and very close to the centre of the old town.
This hotel was fabulous. It was extremely clean and the bed was the most comfortable that we have had yet in Europe. Best value for a hotel that we could have asked for. The only downfall is that it is quite far away from everything, about a 40 minute walk to city centre. If that doesn't bother you than I definitely recommend this hotel.
