"The RedLion Boise Downtowner is a throwback to an era of the big, beautiful hotel lobby, nice hotel rooms, great customer service and ample amenities. Being a "senior citizen ", I appreciate the relative ease of the moving in process with the elevators. I like the old school feel of the hotel. It brings back memories of the time when the Red lion Boise Downtowner was in its heyday. I highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay right in the heart of downtown Boise."

"I had registered through expedia and thought I was all set but when we showed up they could not find my registration. Thankfully the staff was able to give me a room at about the same price than I had been quoted by Expedia. Otherwise the staff was all very helpful, the room was fine, but the breakfast left a bit to be desired with no truly sustaining food (all fast digesting carbs...)."

"Loved our king suite. The space was perfect for our stay. Microwave, mini fridge & in room coffee/tea station. The bathroom/shower could be in use and could not be heard while watching tv. Some cons…Sauna out of commission. Hottub was slightly warm but no bubbles. Pool was nice and we had the space to ourselves (around 7:30/8ish on a Saturday). Suite carpet was filthy and turned our socks black. Drapes excessively stained too. The pros! Good location, parking maintained to a clean standard and had lush landscaping (June 2026). Coffee & refreshing lemon water located in the lobby in the evenings…sometimes. Breakfast buffet maintained well and had ‘make your own’ waffles, cereal, mini muffins, breads & bagels, yogurt, apples, and a hot buffet of sausage, eggs, potatoes with biscuits & sausage gravy. Coffee, milk, juice and tea available with a nice seating area. Staff was friendly and helped wherever they could. Things to know… They don’t have fans but the room’s a/c unit did very well They use a towel exchange system Small business center available in the lobby"

"The lobby is most welcoming with the area behind the registration a mural displaying a plane on the runway departure. Breakfast was included. Coffee and Tea also available in the lobby seating area. A nice fire place outside to relax. The Hotel service team were very responsive. Our TV did not work upon arrival. They came immediately and knew what to do, given new S/W. Upon departure, I shared with the staff at the front desk my room observations i.e. sink not draining well and freezer needing to be cleaned from previous use. They were very receptive and appreciative."

"My bed sounded like there was a bed post broke and no matter how you moved on it it would slam on the metal waking me up all night! There was literally no breakfast option, and the breakfast that was there was cold and the cereal was super stale and the orange juice they need to stop watering down because you couldn’t even taste it. I travel for constantly and have stayed at multiple of your hotels and have never had a problem and have never written a review but I just had to for this place. The comforters had brown spots all over them. My room didn’t get cleaned or changed for the 6 days I was there they came twice out the 6 days. And out of the 2 times they came I was on a very important business call on my laptop they knocked and I told them please come back I’m on a business call and then continue to knock and when I opened the door they were for some reason like aggressive towards me when I said please give me a minute and then threw up there hands like angry which I was very confused about? I just needed a few moments. I travel for work every 3 months and stay at hotels everywhere in Boise but this by far was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. I won’t be back."
