Service was good but had to get the door lock replaced because it was broken. They got it done quickly. Key didn’t work even after the lock was replaced. Door jam was broken. Fan didn’t work in the bathroom.

My house was being worked on and I needed 1 night and they definitely fixed a few things around there looks a lot better i rented about 1 year ago and it was dirty in lobby no breakfast but the room was leaned and now it's a lot better good job

I have stayed at some cheap motels, the motel 6 was nicer. The staff was friendly but the room was dirty the lights didn’t work and the sink leaked. Room should have been compt and they still charged us $80 I will never stay at a red lion again

There must’ve been a mistake or something but my check out wasn’t until 12 and around 11 I had a couple walk into my room. They must’ve gotten the wrong room. They kind of panicked and apologized so it wasn’t a big deal to me. But I thought I’d share my experience.

Beds were terrible….old and worn out. There was no housekeeping our entire stay. No one dumped garbage or changed towels unless we asked. It was cheap and that’s all.

We arrived at the property and our Uber driver had told us that to be very careful in the hotel that we were staying at because the government had a Covid relief program that they had rented out several rooms to about 20 to 30 is my understanding to people that could not afford rent when we arrived. We noticed that they were very shady people outside. It was very dirty. It was an unsafe, and we were scared. We checked in anyway and went upstairs, hoping that it would be better. The hotel is very rundown. It has very old amenities doors, windows patios. The room is scary and old and dirty and I did not feel safe so I ended up booking another hotel and just losing out on all of my money.

The only redeeming quality of this experience was the kind front desk staff who helped me process a refund. I would have paid almost any price to have an alternative to the Red Lion Downtowner in Boise. Incredibly unclean, run down, and disappointing. I booked a top floor, corner room, jet tub suite. It was dark dingy and barely furnished room. There were lots of stains on practically every chair. The toilet was unclean with… something in it that resembled blood drips. I found a previous occupants’ dirty underwear and towel underneath the bed (who knows how long they had been there). My jetted tub spewed dark particles of something into the bath water. Half the lights in the bathroom didn’t work or were missing bulbs. There were mismatched bulbs throughout the room. The bedroom door wouldn’t shut as it didn’t fit on the frame. Practically everything was dirty and in disrepair.

We needed to check in early and were told they would call when a room was ready so we could then check in. They never called, which wasn’t a big problem. They comped us a breakfast for “any inconvenience” which was nice.

Toilet ran in the room. It was very hot in the rooms and we had to sleep with the window open all night. There was no option for air conditioning or cool air.

Expedia did something where my reservation was changed from a double bed room to a single bed room, which really sucked because the hotel didn’t have any roll away beds. Luckily the sweet girl at the front desk found us a double bed room for the first night and the manager refunded me for our second night, so we could find something elsewhere. She even gave me a discount on the night we stayed, without hesitation. The room was clean and we didn’t have any issues with it. Although, there was something on the curtains which could have been bodily fluid..The rest of the hotel was kind of dirty. The strip club behind the hotel had loud music and there were some obnoxious cars driving around that parking lot. We woke up in the very early hours to people leaving their rooms and it sounded like someone was trying to break into our room, which was terrifying. All of the doors seemed to creak excruciatingly loud like out of a horror movie.

The parking was good. The beds seemed clean. The bathroom floor was filthy. Worst thing was the chair that was in the room it was beyond filthy. Looks like they got it out of dumpster. very worn out building and room. I have stayed in many Red Lions. The price wasnt cheap by any means but the place was so dirty. never again.

The place looks nothing like the pictures! Everything is broken and outdated. Had to switch rooms on second night because our heater wouldn’t turn off and the roof was leaking. Just a trashy place in general. The staff was nice and helpful.

Do not stay at this hotel! Horrible, rude and unprofessional staff, they will steal all your belongings. This hotel is situated on the corner of Boise's equivalent of skid row with an unbelievable amount of homeless people who wander through the open parking lot. The interior of this hotel is not represented well by the pictures. It's dirty, grimey and disgusting. I got into town too late to find somewhere else and unfortunately had to stay the night. I slept in my full clothes jeans and a hoodie because the room was so disgusting. Do not stay here. There are literally 25 hotels in the area and any one of them would be better for your money. Hopefully this message will help you avoid a terrible experience.

OLD!! This property has not been updated since it was built. The carpet is disgusting and stinks. Paint on the walls is in bad shape, the floor of the elevator is peeling off. The floor in the dining room had not been swept in weeks and was filthy and tge windows were gross and dirty. It's like the management is either non-existent or just doesn't care. What a dump!!

Bedroom has dust on everything and spider webs in the bathroom and in the corner by the drapes. The outside glass front door was broken out. The entrance carpets were extremely dirty. The breakfast you had to pay for and the amount and quality was sub par. I am very disappointed in the hotel. Red lions have a great reputation for being very elegant.

The staff were polite and helpful. It is an inexpensive older hotel so it was in line with pricing. The issue was the breakfast area, it was unclean with chafing dishes having rusty crusted food on outside, the silverware was visibly unclean. For that reason I opted for a bagel and cram cheese using plastic spoon. The toaster was broken but did its job. I used prepackaged cream cheese and when I took a bite it was completely spoiled. I looked for a date but there was none on the individual cream cheese packs. I would suggest to management to look into cleaning practices and expiration dates in the breakfast area.
