Check-in was fast. Room was clean with lots of space. Loved the bedding. There were plenty of electrical outlets for recharging. A nice big desk, refrigerator, counter, plenty of room for suitcases. Breakfast was good although with the crowds it was hard for the servers to keep things stocked. Had to wait for bacon the first day and bread/baked goods the next day. Someone else was waiting for oatmeal. But they did keep stocking as quickly as the could. This Hampton was just so comfortable to stay at. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked wonderful and I love that it was open 24 hours.
I had a great stay here last week. I was down in Caldwell for a friend's wedding. My room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The best part was the little convenience store in the lobby. Everything was very cheap (you can even buy alcohol!) and you could either pay with cash or add it to your room bill. My only complaint was actually from there too. Two of the items I purchased were technically expired. I bought a soda the first night and didn't even end up drinking it and then the second night bought a little thing of Easy Mac which was a couple months expired. I didn't use to pool, but it was open 24 hours for adults and kept meaning to go down to breakfast but didn't make it down either morning. There was some construction that appeared to being going on near my room but I never heard anything. There's a Burger King practically in the parking lot if you want to grab a quick bite to eat too. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. I would definitely recommend.
We got in late in the afternoon and took advantage of the paved trail along the river to stretch our legs. The greenbelt is beautiful and it was fun watching surfers trying to stay upright in the spillway. Surfing in Idaho!. The walk was lovely. When we returned the outdoor cafe was serving food and featuring a really good jazz quintet. The music was mostly oldies, but being oldies ourselves we loved it. The food was excellent that evening and the next morning. I was expecting the usual cheesy continental breakfast, but this was an elegant breakfast buffet with anything you could think of to eat for breakfast and things you never would expect. Not only was the food great, the classical guitarist playing in the lobby was a wonderful touch. We were just passing through, but the Riverside Hotel would make a wonderful destination
Loved the room! The beds & pillows were so comfy!! (Only negative is they use double beds which are way too small when most people these days are used to queen or king size. )I would recommend this hotel!!!
