This property is inexpensive and close to a great area. However there is no air conditioning in the rooms and if you open the windows you hear the noise from the clubs and street life so loud that it's impossible to sleep. A beautiful clean place with a super friendly and attentive staff but I would not go back.

Wonderful stay. The rooms were a little warm even with both windows open. Would have been nice to have a fan. Black out curtains would have been a nice addition, but the price was right.

It’s not the best due to the old property but in good conditions. The attention could be better but it’s ok. The hotel is located in a great and convenient area, walkable streets, in the heart of “T area” or knowing also as a “Pink area”.

Wow Wow Wow!!! The staff at Hotel Saint Simon are absolutely amazing!!! Very cordial, well-mannered and very friendly. The staff provided us with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. I especially remember Ivan the door man and John the overnight front desk. Overall, every single staff personnel treated us like gold, including the hotel general manager. The next time that I am in Bogota, I am going to stay at the Hotel Saint Simon. Furthermore, the location is strategic and centrally located in the heart of the zona rosa, which is full of malls, restaurants, nightlife,etc.

The staff is super friendly and so helpful. Whether finding a pharmacy or a car to airport. The location couldn't be better for shopping, dining, and nightlife. One thing that could be better would be to have filtered water available whenever our bottles needed to be filled. At this time, it's only available during breakfast when the restaurant is open. That's really the only aspect that should be added.

The area was amazing but noisy. I personally didn't have a problem with that but I can imagine if you are traveling for work it might be a bit inconvenient. Other than that, it served its purpose.

The wi-fi is a serious issue. I addressed with them nearly every day. If you are from out of the country, be prepared for roaming charges because the wi-fi is constantly kicking you off and, when in does work, is very very slow and unreliable. It is the only issue this hotel has and they were not able to resolve it during my entire two-week stay.

This is an old hotel wrapped in a new facade. Multiple levels per floor, narrow angular steps too. If you need an elevator to get to your level it can be a challenge. The location is great. The unforseen issues are the location too. There's pimps on the corner until early morning and they pursued me right to the door late at night and every night of the three here. Very unnerving. No, isn't no. They of course stand and talk late into the night, about 3 am. Then at 5 am a food stand opens under the window and it's noisy again. This of course isn't the hotel issue, but it's their issue anyway. Staff were not too friendly. Some were. Food is just so, so and I would opt out of there's a choice. Coffee was good and one of the few places I had more than one cup. This place is just tired and needs a good renovation. Not value for the money. I travel for 6 months in many hotels. This is just not somewhere I wouldn't book again. Oh, the internet is a pain. It just doesn't reconnect everytime you enter the hotel, you need to enter your user and password. That and it isn't high quality. My room was often without internet. Walls are very thin and someone coughed and I had to check to see if they were in the room

The Hotel Saint Simon is a no-frills, clean, and practical place, which, if your expectations are modest, can serve as a solid base from which to explore the magnificent city of Bogota. Its outstanding feature is its location, near stores, restaurants, tailors (where I got custom shirts made) and transport, which, if you value your time, should not be overlooked. The staff is professional, courteous, and helpful; I especially like the housekeepers, they are hard workers and my room was always clean and fresh. The biggest problem with the hotel appears to be its cheapskate management, which seems consistently to make self-defeating decisions about where to save money. Breakfast, for example, is poor. Happily, there are several great cafes nearby where you can get a terrific breakfast for two or three dollars (try Monte Verde on 78th, just four blocks down and one over, it’s super). Both times I have stayed here, I was originally given a room of lesser quality than what I had reserved and paid for, an unfortunate bait-and-switch business practice. Or blame it on the computer. Basic maintenance on hallways, windows, doors, room-safes (mine did not function) is not a priority. With minimal effort, this hotel could be getting good reviews like the Hamilton, right next door, which is only a bit higher priced. If street noise and indifference to facilities is going to bother you, maybe try elsewhere; but if your bottom line is price and location, this hotel is for you.

The cleanliness is excellent but the hotel is old, the window are small. You have no real view, showers leak, and window locks and/or latches were broken. When you enter the hotel you have to wait for the front desk to open the door, the manager does not speak English and don’t seem to care to communicate with the customers. I guess for the money is ok but if you can afford a few extra dollars on a hotel room then by all means go ahead and stay at different place.

Location and staff are great. We woke up with bites on our bodies. Itched all night. Toilet ran on and off all night. Shower did not work well and wifi cuts in and out. The staff could not have been nicer, but rooms Were off.

Ask to change room due to bad smell from bath. Refused. Not all staff speak english. Owner veryy rude person. Breakfast is a cheap joke. After asking her to solve problems she asked me to leave. STAY AWAY !!!

The bathroom was checked and there was no bad smell. After being informed by an other hotel in the city where you tried the same act of complaining without reasons, we refused to change your room and informed that if you did not like the hotel you could do your check out. You decided to make a new reservation and stay longer with us.

I asked to change room due to bad smell. The guy in the reception refused. Not all staff speaks english. The owner woman very rude. After complaining she told me theres lot of other hotels in the area. Meaning told me to leave. What ???? Stay away !

Thank you for your feedback. As Hotel we do not want to receive guests as yourself, that go from hotel to hotel trying to get free nights by complaining about issues that are not there. We have informed Expedia to not receive new reservations from yourself and informed other properties close to us about your actions.
