“Late check In”

When i arrive to the hotel 9 in the morning, the girl in the reception area told me the check in will b 3 in the aftennon. Wierd time because i travel a lot and never check in its late that 11:00 a.m or 1 p.m.. So I agreed to wait until 3, but when was close to that time, other guy in the front desk told me the check in will be now 6:00 p,m,, i was very upset because i was tired, so i tell them i wasnt wait more, so i want my money back, because i will looking for other hotel. Soon i did this statement, the manager on that time find me a room. Other thing they forgot to clean my room, even when I tell them to do it. I think the people working there is very nice, but desorganized... they need to be more care about the guess, but like a said, its the administration who need to do something about it. I need to say thanks to the door man and the ladies on the housekeeping because i know isnt there fault.

“Very comfortable and good value for money”

I selected this hotel due to an overnight transit in Bogota and wasn't expecting much for the price. But I was pleasantly surprised. It was handy because not excessively far from the airport although there were others closer. Not much in the way of restaurants in the fairly modest neighbourhood, but the hotel itself was just fine and I would easily go there again.

“Great Service”

This was my third time in Bogota, but the first at Lancaster House. The hotel has a friendly staff that is ready to assist you. They helped me arrange a very good sightseeing trip in the vecinity of Bogota. The morning buffet was excellent and room service even during the late hours made my stay very pleasent. I had friends over at the bar and we enjoyed live music near the fireplace. I also used a basic gym and the sauna. I will definitively stay at this hotel in my next trip.

“Beyond expectations”

The hotel looked nice and well priced, but when I settled in my suite I knew I had done well chosing this place. The suites are extremely ample and nicely decorated. I didn't book one with a terrace but I could see they looked really great. The place is not big so service was always good, cordial and personalized. The restaurant has a pretty ample menu and the bar has a cozy atmosphere, nice fire place, a piano man...The gym is not large but enough for a day's work-out. Didn't get to use the sauna but it's good to know there is one. The place, i think, is ideal for families because of the size of the suites, but it was great for me on business as I had enough space in my room to work, good wifi connection and good service. Even thought it is not located walking distance from main points of interest, it was not a long cab ride to get places, so pricewise I was more than satisfied. Got good value for my bucks. I will certainly consider going back.

“Lancaster House was amazing for the 2nd time...”

This was my second time staying at the Lancaster House. The staff is eager to help and the room was comfortable & very spacious. When you look at their rates, it is comparable as breakfast is included and the breakfast is a full breakfast. The location was close to all of the shops, mall & everywhere I needed. I will stay their next time I go to Bogota.

“Great hotel -- for two”

Everything about Lancaster House--the staff, the spacious rooms, the breakfasts, etc.--was excellent. The only downside was the location, which was far from the airport, far from downtown, far from the historic district, etc. The neighborhood itself was devoid of anything in walking distance, but it was in close proximity to the main mass transit line, so we used that to journey to the heart of the city. Be aware that Lancaster House charges VERY heavy fees for "extra" people, so be sure, if you have more than two people in your party, you confirm exactly how much the charges will be.

Area recommendations
The central squares and plazas were great. Police were in abundant supply, so we felt safe throughout.
Getting around
We took the main mass transit system, a system of large and frequent buses that runs through the heart of Bogota. It was quite convenient, and the LED signs in the bus keep you posted regarding upcoming stops. We'd suggest printing off the system map from the Internet before boarding, though, because unlike in most subway systems, there were few maps on the stations or in the buses themselves. Confirm taxi prices before you get in. There are no set fares.

“Wonderfull hotel & amazing staff”

Nice hotel with very ample and comfortable suites. Helpfull staff. Free WiFi which was another plus. Enjoyed the complimentary Breakfast Buffet, as well as a delicious lunch. The chimney bar was a great place to have a drink and relax in the evening. I will definitely come back.

Area recommendations
Visit Monserrate, La Candelaria (old Bogota) and the Gold Museum, all are about 20 min from the hotel.

“Excellent option in Bogota!”

I had an excellent experience. My stay was very comfortable and I was able to rest and relax. The service is amazing. The suite was big and had a kitchen with a microwave and delicious Colombian coffee to make.

“dont recommend to others”

too many hidden charges when you check out. i booked the hotel knowing that i can invite 3 guest but at the end they charged me more for my guest that lady that works in the morning. at the bar you order a absolute cranberry they charge you for the vodka and the cranberry ! say what thats part of the drink and i use the internet and printed some documents i needed and charged me a dollar a copy ! dont recommend this hotel tomy enemy! but the waiters and others where nice its not there fault its the hotel management
