“So much noises”
The windows don't isolate the street-noise, 50 meter is the 7ven Av. and with a lot of traffic, buzzer, sirenne and motorssounds. The noise from other WC is earing in my room all the night. It was difficult to sleep. The relations between price and benefits isn't good
“Excellent value, enormous rooms”
The hotel is of high quality, with spotless and large rooms equipped with a deep bathtub, an impressive lobby and generally excellent service (I was delayed at checkout as another guest's voucher issue was fully occupying the three members of staff on duty..). The included breakfast was very nice with a chef cooking eggs to order. While the hotel is located on a mainly residential street, busy Septima highway is only about 50 metres away and I was woken by the traffic at 05.40. I recommend to bring earplugs. Getting around is easy, if there are no white tourist cars sitting outside (ten thousand pesos = USD6 = fixed fare for short trips, no tip customary), the front desk is happy to call you a metered cab which arrives within minutes. The free wi-fi is another nice touch - though it was out for part of one day - and overall I felt the hotel represented excellent value for money. I strongly recommend it, especially if the great weekend rate that I enjoyed remains available.
“Very Comfortable Colombian Boutique Style Hotel”
We chose this hotel because it looked like it would be a good choice, not too far from a university where a friend of ours studies (Universidad Javeriana), as well as a hotel and district where we stayed two years ago and liked (Hotel Rosales Plaza). Hotel Estalar Suites Jones met our expectations of being a boutique size hotel in a good neighborhood with very competent staff. We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable nightly rate, which included an extensive breakfast buffet. My wife and daughter enjoyed eating breakfast outside. Expedia was able to get the hotel to reduce our reservation by one night when our outbound flight was canceled and we spent our first night on a redeye flight instead of at the hotel as planned; even better, the hotel allowed us to check-in at 6 AM when we arrived. Our only caution is that the hotel staff do not speak much English, but luckily our daughter was able to translate for us. Overall I would rate this a three and a half stars, but when the Rosales Plaza gets refurbished, I'd probably go back there instead.
“Chapinero, Bogota”
Perfect four star hotel and service. Oversize rooms, friendly staff, excellent location. Great deal for the price !
“clean hotel but noisy location odd staff”
Odd hotel. Awakened me (8:45AM) to remind me that checkout was at 1pm (not appreciated). Bath tub lacked functional stopper. At 6pm, hotel staff knocked on my door to come in and close my blinds (very weird). Check out was awkward as well - had lunch after checking out and they seemed overly concerned about how I would pay for my meal. I showed them my cash and credit card - meal was good. the bellman however was superb (spoke english well in comparison to front desk staff).

“El Chapinero”
It is a very good hotel, with some staffing problems. Excellent location in El Chapinero neighbourhood. Close to downtown and/or Norte using a cab. 24 hr supermarket is around the corner in case you need it. You can also walk to Zona Rosa. I had a problem since hotel door is locked at night and if the attendant is not in his place you won't be able to get in, or call anyone to get you in and you won't have a key... Staff will try to get you into a "hotel cab" which doesn't run on taximeter but negotiated price, thus you will be paying 50% more for taxi. It's a good hotel, but has some management problem. Breakfast is decent too. They charge extra for internet, and you will receive weird billing which is not totally clear...somedays they charged me breakfast, some days internet some days nothing and I used both....so it leaves a feeling of being mismanaged. US$ exchange rate was not posted at the reception and they offerd me lower rate then at the airport....those are small items that spoil an overall good location/cleanliness of the hotel.
“ZUHAIR”
THE HOTEL IS IN QUITE PART OF BOGOTA AND THAT IS A GOOD THING THEIR FOR REST. HOW I WILL LIKE TO HAVE BUSINESS DEAL PACKAGE ROOM BREAKFAST AND INTERNET SERVICES. OTHER THAN THAT THE HOTEL IS PERFECT
“Very nice hotel in Bogota”
Check in was easy and quick, hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Its location is approximately 10 mins by taxi to "la zona rosa" and costs about 8-10,000 peso's or approx $4-$5.00. This area has parks, lots of restaurants, clubs, shops, very nice during the day or evening.
“Great place to stay in Bogota”
Overall I would give this hotel a major thumb's up for their great service, clean and comfortable rooms, and nice location. The only minor quirk I found with the place was the manicure/pedicure station set up right in the gym. I found that not only obnoxious, but highly unattractive to be breathing nail polish fumes while trying to run on the treadmill. BAD design. Otherwise, the rooms and service are great.
