“Look no further”

If you're looking for spacious, well maintained rooms with on site restaurant, bar and gym all set in a convenient and safe location, then I recommend Estelar Apartamentos. I stayed there for 3 nights recently. It was a cut above previous places i had used in Bogota. It is situated in a safe area, directly opposite the Unicentro Mall and there were numerous bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. It is well staffed, and those i dealt with were polite, friendly and professional. As somebody that will be making regular future trips to Bogota, I will be making this establishment the first port of call when booking a hotel.

Area recommendations

Santa Barbara / Chico Norte are the best and safest areas in Bogota. My son lives in Santa Barbara so it made sense to be as close to him as possible, but these areas have the best bars, restaurants and shops for visitors to Bogota.

Getting around

Bogota traffic is an absolute nightmare at just about any part of the day - any day ! Don't cut it fine if you're heading for a meeting / appointment. And if you're catching a flight, then I recommend getting to the airport way in advance of your check in time - there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants there. For general getting around then taxis are plentiful and cheap compared to say, London....but they can and will take advantage of your ' out of towner ' status ! Otherwise the Transmilenio Bus service is reasonably quick and cheap although sometimes very crowded.

“One of the Bogota's best Hotel”

Estelares Hotles they have Hotel and also rent of apartments, the last one it was we choose.In my opinion more independent,rooms confortable, well keep it, in summary it was a nice experience.

Area recommendations

I'm from Bogota-Colombia so I know this area very well.in my opinion this is the best neighborhood because you find restaurants, shopping center, bars,etc. I rented an apartment for 6 days including breakfast.this is a service they can improve in the sense everybody can visit the available restaurant without restrictions.

Family-friendly activities

As I told you above, the closest shopping center has restaurants, cinemas,good stores, etc.is good when you go with your family including teenagers.

“Excellent Bogota Hotel”

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the past 2 years. The apartments are large and clean. The overall amenities of the hotel are good. Staff speak english and are very helpful. The location is I believe relatively safe. Distance is a little far to tourist areas, but taxis are cheap. It is also possible to negotiate a very good rate for day tours (in and out of city) thru their private taxi staff. Parque 93 and Zona Rosa, & Zona T are all close.

Area recommendations

Stay North of calle 60. Cleaner and safer. Taxis to tourist areas are inexpensive.

Getting around

Utilize the Hotels private taxi services. Can negotiate excellent full day rates.

Good location but in the apartment needs some maintenance. Located across Unicenter Comerical Center and a lot of restaurants in the area.
