A qualified "thumbs up" Posted 13-Oct-2012
This hotel is relative new, so the facility is generally clean and attractive. The hotel is on a busy street, so catching a taxi is easy right in front of the building. There is a paucity of good restaurants in this section of Normandia, so plan to travel a bit if this is what you want. The staff are friendly and helpful and they provided free transportation from the airport to the hotel. Some "glitches" that should be mentioned are as follows. Although the ride from airport to hotel was free, the ride in the opposite direction was not, and this was not explained ahead of time. We had to wait 15 for this driver when we could have simply taken a taxi (for the same price). The breakfasts are variable on a daily basis, ranging from scrambled eggs, to chicken tamale, to ham and cheese sandwiches. Generally good, but don't count on everybody at your table getting their food at the same time (the kitchen is small). I stayed in the same room for 5 days and then one more at the end of my trip. Strangely, the kitchen that was complete with refrigerator, pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc. that was so nice for the first part had been completely removed for the second part! This room was directly above the lounge/breakfast area. One evening a party produced a lot of noise which prevented us from sleeping until after 12 midnight. The doors and walls are thin, so any noise in the hallway can be heard in the room, so be ready to be awakened at 6:00 am every morning.
