All inclusive food minced meat, stuffed peppers,

Posted 09-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
Although the hotel is well located close to town, I would not return here, I would probably look for a non all inclusive package hotel with few clients; more boutique like as the WOW was so packed with holidaymakers there was no room on the rather poor beach. The food was all minced meat and stuffed bell peppers with no real main course options. The waiters were too busy trying to clean up dining tables that one had to find ones own cutlery etc. Staff very friendly though. Never again.

Decent Hotel, lacks customer service.

Posted 19-Jul-2013
Pros: Buffet and the restaurants are very good. The hotel is very close to downtown Gumbet (walking distance); also very close to Bodrum (5-10min bus ride).
Cons: Customer service; WiFi.
Location: Nightlife in Gumbet and Bodrum. Boat tours, scuba diving. Nice restaurants.
If you are traveling from the States, you might be disappointed with the customer service. Most of the staff are nice but they do lack the decision making ability. When they face with a question that they have not heard before they choose to dismiss it by saying "We can't do it'. Overall, good experience; WiFi is terrible, the only place you can get some connection is the reception area. Buffet and the restaurants are good, you can pretty much eat and drink the whole day; no problem. Alcoholic beverage choices are very limited. One type of beer, rum and vodka; still pretty good considering you don't pay extra for any of it. Pool area is very nice but you need to wake up early to get a seat around the pool area.

Good stay - but not 4-star; families will love it

Posted 04-Jun-2013 on Hotels.com
We had a good stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the hotel grounds and rooms were clean. I must say though, that based on the quality of food and the old-fashioned decoration of the room, I wouldn't rate this as a 4star hotel. Nevertheless, I guarantee that you would find something from the buffet or a la carte restaurants that take your fancy. You are allowed to eat at each of the three a la carte restaurants once per week, which, for some, might be a nice departure from the buffet dining. The wifi is very poor and really only works in the room. I went in May and it wasn't overcrowded - sunbeds always available by the pool etc. Families will certainly love this hotel: as it is all inclusive it means nobody will ever go hungry, plus there are lots of activities for everyone all day long! There are sports (tennis, volleyball etc) as well as a Games Room with arcade games, pool/snooker, table tennis etc. The hotel has a private beach - but like all other beaches in the Gumbet/Bodrum area, the sandy part is very narrow/very close to the water. The location is excellent - close to everything and less than 15mins walk to the nightlife. I went with friends - we are 30yrs old and couldn't help but feel jealous about the music we heard at another hotel...we suspected that hotel must have been hipper and more lively for young people. The WOW is quiet and I'd say WOW is best for families with kids.

Pros: The food and pools
Location: Great location overlooking Bodrum and the water.
This resort has everything here. It is clean and the staff are friendly. The meals are awesome and is very family friendly. Great place for kids with the pools and slides and they loved the kids nightly entertainment. I have been here twice and would definitely come back again.

Pros: View, food and staff
Cons: Animation staff
Location: Great location close to town and far enough to feel like u have privacy
Great 5 day stay.... Only thing hotel can improve on is animation staff a bit OTT and sometimes bordered on rude.. Other than that other staff was great helpful and food quality excellent...

Not up to standards

Pros: Food in the Amadeus Restaurant
Cons: Our room was sad and uncomfortable
Location: Local bus service makes the hotel location good. Beach access was great.
Disappointing is the only way to describe our overall experience. The value for what we paid was poor compared to our experience elsewhere in Turkey on this trip. Our room was sadly out of date in decor and furnishings, the beds uncomfortable and the state of the carpeting made me uncomfortable to put my bare feet on it. In contrast, the public areas looked to be well maintained and current in appearance. The food in the Amadeus Restaurant was lovely - fresh, with lots of variety for everyone. Waiters were very pleasant but the Guest Relations staff were generally ineffective. A below average experience for an above average price (by comparison).

Wish I stayed longer...

Pros: The views from all over the resort.
Cons: Finding a chair at the beach and pool was difficult if you went later in the morning.
Location: It was about 45 min. drive from the airport, 100 lira by taxi, I had to pay 150 Euro for car transport leaving so arrange this before.
The location was beautiful, the resort also beautiful, I was there with my four children ages 12 to 22 they all enjoyed the stay. The Animation team is great in getting people involved. In order to get a reservation at the special restaurants call at 9am so you don't get locked out. The other thing that was a little annoying was trying to get a lounge chair at the pool and the beach together. People would get up very early to claim a spot with their towels, if you got there after 830 am good luck finding even two chairs together, but if you get up early and place your spot you'll be OK. The staff was very helpful and willing to please, what ever we asked for we received right away. I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in Turkey.
