Very good value and friendly hotel. Staff very polite and the food was excellent. Didn't play the golf course but it looked in good condition and a good challenge. Only issue could be that it is out in the country so no bars/restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely visit again.

Tredethy is a great family run guest house in a large stone house set in beautiful wooded grounds, with a marvellous view across to adjoining hills. The food was superb, with home-made bread at breakfast and excellent traditional home-cooked Italian food when the restaurant was open at weekends. I would certainly return if I am in the area again.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at St Benets Abbey. It had a very homely welcoming feel and the owners were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely stay there again when we are visiting the area.

We had a great stay, and the staff could not be more accommodating, even the owners were giving us recommendations for the area/things to see when we were deciding where to go. Our six year old absolutely loved the area, the farm animals and the play facilities. Its in such a secluded area, we felt confident enough for him to go off and play with children he'd made friends with during our stay. Our son loved feeding the lambs too!!

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, Rooms very clean and tidy, well furnished. They were serviced on a daily basis with clean towels being provided. Food is wholesome pub grub, not nouvelle cuisine, portion sizes are very generous, but good quality ingredients are used and the food is very tasty and satisfying. Meals were requested that weren't always to the menu but any change requested was met by the staff without a quibble. The hotel is well placed for visiting local attractions and I would recommend making use of the local railway station at Liskeard for more distant areas of Cornwall. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Cheesewring to anyone staying in this part of the country and would certainly stay there again.
Lovely and very welcoming host. Yummy breakfast made with free range eggs. My 2 year old daughter loves visiting the hens, horses and the rabbit. The location is ideal for traveling both the North and South of Cornwall. Comfy bed, nice and clean room. Would recommend it.
We were welcomed by Martine & Barry with an offer of a drink and asked what room we would like excellent customer service, The accommodation is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious and decorated to a high standard, The hosts were very helpful and breakfast was amazing.......
Location was brilliant very close to the shops restaurants and bars and only 8 miles from Looe a lovely sea side resort, public transport ie. trains/buses on the door step to take you to all the popular resorts,
Free parking behind the hotel, which is a big bonus...... Friendly hosts....... on the whole a wonderful listed Guest House top marks to Martine & Barry they are doing a great job

This relatively remote, wild upland area attracts walkers searching the highest points of Cornwall, namely the tors (rock outcrops) of Rough Tor and Brown Willy. The main settlements, Camelford and Liskeard ('lis-kard') are pleasant, sleepy towns. Visitor attractions include Bodmin Jail, Jamaica Inn (immortalised by Daphne du Maurier) and Lanhydrock House and gardens, one of the finest late 19th-century houses in England.
