Stayed at Zazen on recommendation of a friend. We loved the location, garden villa and the superb service. Secluded but not isolated so able to walk to other restaurants and bars. The breakfasts at the hotel are amazing and the service from the staff outstanding. We would have no hesitation on staying here again.
Great location within easy walking of Fishermans Village. Well laid out resort with tranquil garden. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Excellent food -recommend the Thursday evening buffet of Thai food in beach restaurant. We stayed in a deluxe room for 10 days. Fruit was left in our room everyday and flowers also at times- a very nice touch.

"Tropical paradise bordered by the gulf of Thailand"
I spent a month at the Samui Palm Beach resort. It is a beautiful environment once you drive through the gates. A warm welcome from friendly staff, large air conditioned rooms that are cleaned to a shine daily. Excellent food with prices better or comparable to local restaurants. I enjoyed every moment. My special thanks to Shu and Paula who seemed to put of their way to make my stay special.
My wife and I went to Mantra for our 15th anniversary. We live in Cambodia and travel to Thailand often. This is by far the nicest place we have stayed at in Thailand. The breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable and clean, the exercise room was great with new machines and AC all day long, and the staff was very good and spoke English well, though we know a little Thai :-).
"beach side hotel with near by shops / restraurants"
We choose this holiday to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, hotel was good although the chalet units are a
" little dated ", could do with a revamp, however saying that we did enjoy our stay at the Peace Resort. All the staff were very helpfull and couldn't do enough for you, breakfast was good and pool side snacks were very good. The beach sand was some what rough / course, we did visit the east side of the island where the sand was better and was informed that the best beaches are on the south side of the island. The Fishermans Village just down from the Peace Resort, approx 20mins walk by road or 10mins via the beach, has plenty of restraurants and bars to try out, also some gift shops and a market on Fridays. This was our first visit to Koh Samui, would like to come back again but maybe try some other hotel rather than the Peace Resort.
Great experience and lovely resort. Lovely pools and beach front access, only a 15minute walk to Fishermans village along the beach.
Breakfast every morning was great, eggs tailored to your taste and crepes and waffles to order. Staff were efficient and really friendly and I would certainly stay there again if I'm lucky enough to visit Koh Samui again.
The hotel is small with a nice little pool we were very often the only people that used it. The reception staff were excellent and helped with everything that we asked for. The hotel in very well located only 5 min walk from fisherman's village and opposite the new shopping mall, the only thing is you do need to cross the busy main road.
A nice place to stay, rooms were nice with good air conditioning and kept clean. The staff spoke no English, yet were very hospitable in understanding and couldn't do enough for you. Only a short walk to the beach and shops right down the road. All in all a very nice hotel and would definitely stay again.
This upscale beach on the north shore of Ko Samui is three kilometres long and conveniently located near the pier for ferries to and from Ko Phangan. Visitors have their pick of 20 or so lodging choices, typically of the bungalow hut variety. A short drive from here is the Samui Monkey Centre, where trained monkeys fetch coconuts from palm trees, and Wat Phra Yai, home of the 12-metre Big Buddha statue.
