“Basic Hotel”

It's an inexpensive, older hotel in a college town. Located near a few grocery stores, a Starbucks and plenty of restaurants. It's fine if you're just planning in sleeping there. It even has a microwave and a fridge in the room!

“Great place to stay at a good price.”

Room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast could use some sprucing up, but otherwise, a very nice place to stay at a decent price.

“Good Hotel”

The hotel was fine. Friendly staff and a very convenient location. The rooms were a little out of date but clean. The breakfast was fine.

“Glad I took the chance”

I was looking for a place to spend 12 hours for some rest before my appointment. Signature Inn Bloomington Normal was about a block from where I needed to be. When I arrived I was checked-in in about 2 minutes and found my room comfortable, clean and well furnished. I had a cup of coffee from their breakfast buffet the next morning, I was very pleased.

“Average Hotel - for sleeping only. Not for enjoyment.”

The young man at the front desk was polite. The air conditioning is in the room only. The room was not fancy but clean. We only needed a place to sleep since we came in late and left early. I noted the pool outside was very small. The ice machine was downstairs and the elevator didn't work. The remote to the TV also didn't work and the wifi was complicated so I couldn't sign in or get help in signing in. Use your cell phone alarm clock - the alarm clock also didn't work. We didn't eat breakfast there because it was humid and there was no air in the hotel main area. Luckily, I had a huge discount but would not pay full price. I would consider this a budget hotel for sleeping only but not one for enjoyment.

Area recommendations

If going to Normal to a function at the college, there is a hotel closer (walking distance) that I would highly recommend (a Marriott)

“Nice hotel for the price”

The hotel was nice. Not glamorous, but clean and kept up. We only stayed one night to do shopping in the area, so we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. But the room and bathroom was clean and the hotel was quiet. We got a good night's rest.

“Looking elsewhere”

They overbooked the hotel and did not want to honor my prepaid expedia reservation. Wanted to move me from 2 double beds nonsmoking to a King in smoking for the second nights stay. They have downgraded their breakfast. A/C did not work. Denied shuttle use, "too busy". Shuttle never moved all day. Very bad experience. I will be looking elsewhere for my stays in Bloomington/Normal.
