Booked family room, 2 adults and a 4 year old. Nice little treats (drink & sweets) left on the bed for my daughter. This was a chair bed, the metal folding mechanism a little exposed (as with any chair bed0, but caused no problems for her during the night.
All nicely clean and tidy - only a half bath, but sufficient for a short stay.
Was very impressed with the waiting staff for the in-house Italian restaurant (which doubles up for breakfast), very well mannered and appeared sincere - among the best waiting staff I have ever encountered at any restaurant. Not constantly bugging you during your meal to make sure everything is fine, just made sure it was perfect when they gave you the food - which was also very nice.
I really enjoyed my stay in Savoy Blackpool. Of course the name suggested more luxury than there was, but overall the hotel has a lot of charm and very good staff. It is a nice short distance from the centre and the walk along the sea is very enjoyable.
Would definitely recommend.
second visit to this hotel, we just stayed for the one night with our daughter and her boyfriend, the rooms were clean and comfortable, it was pleasantly warm due to the continuous central heating, the spa pool was enjoyable and the breakfast could not be faulted, there was a good choice of food and we had a very attentive staff, will be back again,
I stayed in the hotel for 4 days. The owners were lovely and were really attentive. They always enquired if there was anything I needed. They set up breakfast for me at a local cafê where the food was great. I whole-heartedly recommend this hotel.
Unlike some of the other guest houses in the street, the Glen does have car Parking.
John the owner was very welcoming and was extremely helpful in arranging Taxis, providing recommendations for restaurants etc. Rooms were clean and well decorated. Although the room was small there was sufficient room to hang dresses etc - my wife was competing in a ballroom and latin dance competition at the Winter Gardens.
The English Breakfast was excellent and John has a small bar where we could have a pre dinner drink.
In comparison with the rates other guest houses charge in Blackpool, the Glen was reasonably priced.
We enjoyed our stay and will return when next in Blackpool.
Myself and my 7 yr old Grandaughter had a lovely experience at the hotel, everyone was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast was lovely and lots of variety to suit all.
Evening Entertainment was wonderful.
Room was small but clean & comfortable.
Beautiful beach location.
Everything in the hotel is ok apart from the TV which wasn't working properly. The breakfast was fantastic and enjoyable, serve with staff ok. Keep it. I wish to visit you people again.
