"This is a beautiful hotel. Beautiful wood, restaurant and bar and the lush jungle landscape is just beautiful. Loved the pool also. The standout about this place though is the staff for sure. Young crew, very good manners and helpful. Be sure to tip them, they deserve it. We’ll return one day! We stayed in the Brisas cabin and it was awesome. Note that most rooms do not have air conditioning so if you require air conditioning make sure you book a room with them that has it. Love Banana Azul! The shuttle service and your booking counter just outside their entrance was so helpful. We use Caribe Shuttle to get there from San Jose."

"After a busy week touring Monteverde and Arenal, our stay at this house on Playa Negra was a much needed restful few days at the beach. Loved the proximity to the beach to pop over the street when we wanted as well as the relaxing sounds of the waves and ocean from the expansive balcony and all the delicious restaurants nearby. House was clean, beautifully furnished and well set up with everything we needed, even a few beach chairs and boogie boards and noodles. Only thing I hadn’t truly focused on when booking is the ground level bathroom and bedroom with exterior kitchenette is its own separate unit which requires you to take the exterior stairs to get up to the rest of the house. These are still within the gated garden but nevertheless we ended up having my husband sleep with our 10 and 13 year old down on that level as it seemed too isolated for them if they needed us during the night and I stayed upstairs with our older teen. There were plenty of beds to make that work. We hope to be back to explore more of that area. All the beaches were amazing as well as nearby Cahuita National Park."

"This was an amazing property with lovely, patient staff, and owners who had an answer for each of the (many, many) questions we had. The area is beautiful and safe, and the owners make it a point to make sure guests are getting what they want out of a vacation. Thank you for nudging us to bike to Punta Uva, Eric. Next time -maybe- we'll consider rafting from the airport 😉"

"Well I would have to say the the location was great. Right in the jungle and close to the beach and walkable to town. My son and I enjoyed ourselves their. The only thing that was an issue was the comunication and the room we got. Now first i will say that the cabin we got met our needs well. However it was not the cabin we reserved. Somehow on checken their was a miscommunication. We got their early and asked if we could store our luggage. We put our luggage in one of what we thought was an unused cabin while our cabin was being cleaned. We then went out for the day. When we got back we got our luggage out of the cabin and then went to the owner to let him know we were ready to check into the cabin we paid for. He thought we paid for the cabin we were in. When i should him the booking. He said sorry their was already a group in that cabin. I was not going to kick another group out. I asked if the the cabin was the same price and he said yes. I contacted Expedia becauseall my research online should that the cabin i booked was infact more money. And wanted to see if i could get some kinda Cm Conversation and more then just a sorry. Unfortunately the owner was sticking to both cabins being the same price. Even though we liked the Accommodation we got and friendly staff I will not be returning. "

"This was our favorite stay our whole trip! Amazing breakfast and the host are full of information for local things to do. Nice short walk to the beach and nice pool to relax in. Would stay again and recommend to friends. "
