“Off season serenity”

Great hotel. Clean rooms, Great location. Perfect escape during the off season. Only drawback of rooms are that there are no drawers or chest to store your clothes. If you don't mind living out of your suicase then all was great. Hotel restaurant was OK but better food and prices are found in town.

“Terrific Hotel to relax and enjoy their wonderful restaurant”

We spent 8 days at Hotel Salsello relaxing and sampling the restaurant outstanding offerings. The Hotel staff was very,very friendly and helpful. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was SPLENDID !

“Just ok”

This hotel was "just ok" While the pictures on the website make it look like a 4 star hotel at best a 3. The rooms are ridiculously small as are the beds not to leave out that they were hard as the floor. The beach is actually across the street and not a beach you can enjoy by far. However they did have outstanding customer service and took care of everything we needed while we stayed there.

It's a great hotel, very quiet, clean, perfect if you want to relax or have a good night sleep.

“Comfortable room”

The room was comfortable and clean. The balcony was big enough for 1 chair. Good location with the sea right across the street, but need a car to get to the square.

“Pleasant comfortable hotel”

The hotel is just over half hour walk from the main harbour area along the sea front. Set back in its own grounds opposite the beach. Rooms at the side of the hotel still had a sea view. The beach looked too crowded for our taste so we didn't use it. (It was August and we prefer sight seeing). Room was comfortable and clean. Balcony was small - too small for 2 to sit down but did include a frame to dry clothes/towels on. Bathroom was pleasant with a small shower. Air con worked well. Minibar fridge. TV claimed to have BBC News channel but didn't work. Italian channels worked. The staff were pleasant and the reception staff could speak English. Breakfast was a cold buffet with plenty of choice. The resort is a pleasant family orientated seaside town. The old town walls and tower provide character. There was a good live band in the town square Saturday evening. The beach is rocky - no sand and (too) busy in August. The resort is easily accessible for Bari (which is well worth a visit), Bari Airport and the road network. Neighbouring resort of Trani has a famous Cathedral on the sea front. Resturants include plenty of good pizzerias and there were also seafood resturants and a Macdonalds further out.

“A once reputed hotel now a little dated.”

We booked the Salsello because friends getting married locally and having their wedding reception there. The reviews were very good and when we got their we couldn't quite understand why. The answer, we determined after a while, is that it was THE place for a wedding reception in this quiet part of Italy. Built in the 80's with an untouched decor the hotel is basic. It offers accommodation in rooms that are basic and small with no real facilities and a shower that is remarkably small by any standard. The function rooms and restaurant were, however very good. The wedding reception was a fantastic success. Our stay was pleasant and untroubled but don't expect even the vaguest luxury. The pool is good but taken over by school parties and aquarobic classes part of the day - the hotel offers a "lido" on the beach but- dependent on time of day and attitude of the attendant - there is variable charge for a sun bed. I may have painted a poor picture but don't be put of the area, its just that this hotel is not NOW what it obviously once was.

“Hotel familial”

Hotel à la déco démodée mais clean, spacieux et calme, le tout dans une atmosphère familiale simple et agréable, comme les chambres. Personnel agréable et disponible, petit déjeuner italien correct, idéalement situé par apport à la plage de galet, uniquement la route à traverser (préférer la plage publique à la plage privée - plus vaste), sinon en dehors du centre, nécessite une voiture. Attention aux prix qui vont du simple au triple, et le triple serait excessif compte tenu de l’offre locale (2 nuits sur place).

Sul mare, in zona residenziale a poche centinaia di metri dal porto. Ottimo punto di partenza per visitare gli splendidi dintorni. Buono il servizio, prima colazione varia e di buona qualità. La pulizia èaccurate, l'arredamento delle camere un pò spartano in rapporto alla classificazione dell'hotel. Comunque buono il rapporto qualità prezzo
