“We always enjoy our stay at the Novotel.”

Great place to stay. We stay at the Novotel very time we come up to see our team play. Staff are great. Only down is the pillows, great if you like hard pillows but feels like sleeping on a brick.

“Very happy with our "Out of the Blu" deal”

We got his one night stay with free breakfast for two at a very good price - even the receptionists were surprised. Breakfast had a very large choice and the cooked food was mostly very good - bacon ?? Would stay again at the right price, thanks.

“Distintcly Average”

Although there was nothing spectacularly wrong with my stay at this hotel there were enough gripes for me to book elsewhere next time I travel to the area. Firstly, the prices of the bar, food etc are quite simply ridiculous. Yes, we know that hotels usually charge a little bit more, but you're paying 4/5 star prices in a very, very average 3 star hotel. Secondly, the wifi isn't free. You have to subscribe by the hour and incur further expense. Don't worry though another option is available, you can connect via a network cable in you room and all you have to do is pay another £12 a day!! Bargain. Every other hotel I've stayed in recently has had free wifi, even those boasting lower star ratings than this Novotel. Even my local coffee shop has it!! Thirdly, none of the staff smiled or looked as though they were engaged or enjoyibng their work, with the exception of the night porter who was the highlight of my stay. Beds and furnishings were very average. TVs were poor in both picture and sound quality. Nothing massively offensive, nothing really memorable, every little thing adds further cost. Dissappointing.

“Decent hotel for a good price”

Its a three star, but its nicely furnished with contemporary decor in the rooms and the foyer, bar and restaurant. My room was clean and well equiped with TV, wifi, a fancy shower with twin showerheads and a huge lit bathroom mirror for the missus. There were nice extra touches such as an ironing board and iron in the wardrobe. Food was good for the evening meal, and okay for the breakfast buffet - avoid the fried eggs though, they were like rubber bullets after an hour under the heat lamps. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the location which is in Wolverhampton. Wolves can be a bit rough, and the area to the west of the hotel is very rough indeed and after dark it's full of women on the street corners.

Area recommendations

The Tettenhall/Tettenhall Wood areas of Wolverhampton are safe with a small high street of traditional shops. It's probably the only part of Wolves worth seeing.
