A Little Inflexible

Posted 22-Apr-2014
Pros: staff friendly
Cons: Flexibility, i feel the hotel could have accommodated us as we were clearly part of the Elvis weekend and nobody offered a compromise
Location: not much
We were visiting for an Elvis themed weekend, i called in advance with special code for food/accomodation but couldn't use the code so i booked and paid standard rate. I also called and requested early check in (around 1pm) as the shows started at 2pm, when we got there the room was not ready, we had to get changed in another room and then swap over later (basically a lot of faffing around) although staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. Next came dinner and when we tried to enter the restaurant with our Elvis friends we were told because we weren't on the package (which, as i said i had tried to book several times) that we couldn't go in. We therefore had a bar meal which cost a fortune and we probably ending up paying double what all other Elvis guests did for the same thing. Very disappointed as we really enjoyed the weekend but when you are paying twice as much as everybody else and you can't even eat with them it seems really unfair.

Overnight stay for Concert at LG Arena

Posted 22-Apr-2014
Good location for the LG Arena, only 10 mins walk. Staff very helpful and friendly and good facilities. Only niggling point is that drinks/food way too expensive suspect very similar to other large chain hotels. £3 for a small bottle of water seems a bit OTT.

Hotel clean

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Waiter staff fantastic
Location: It was right next to the NEC which was the purpose of our visit
Hotel was good it was other guests that let it down, at one thirty in the morning a few girls shouting and laughing in corridors.

Great location for LG Arena

We had an executive room that allowed us into two executives suites serving sandwiches and cakes in the afternoon and nibbles in the evening with drinks. Very nice

Reasonably Good

Posted 14-Apr-2014
I initially booked my stay via Expedia, one thingf I would like to highlight is that I wanted a double room as the stay was to celebrate my first Wedding Anniversary, we were given a twin room and then had to pay extra for an upgrade.

Not value for money

Posted 13-Apr-2014
I had to think long and hard before leaving this review because although it was a perfectly pleasant visit, the cost of the stay made me feel short changed. The hotel itself was clean but tired looking, and the room wasn't that big. For the money it cost I was expecting something a bit more special.

Ideal for concerts n the L.G Arena.

Posted 08-Apr-2014
Pros: Close proximity to the LG Arena. Literally just 10 minutes walk.
Cons: Plane noise could annoy light sleepers - it didn't bother us.
Stayed one night when attending a concert at the LG Arena. Parking £9 a night. Very close to the venue - just walk through the back of the hotel and along a pleasant path by the riverside. We had the buffet breakfast included - a good range of food and the staff coped well with the large number of guests. There is a spa and swimming pool that looked good but we didn't use.
