The room was dated and bed very uncomfortable. The bathroom did not feel luxurious - more like a hostel. The room did not feel cosy and it had the feeling of a nursing home.

Absolutely overwhelmed by the Fairlawns. Every single member of staff made you feel more than welcome. The food was amazing and very reasonable priced in the bar and the hottubs were super relaxing though a little chilly to get to (take your robe) all in all a perfect few days away.

Had a wonderful stay - my second visit here and the staff are always so welcoming. Spa was great and evening meal was delicious. Will be back!

From the warm greeting on arrival to the friendly goodbye, the staff were exceptional. The hotel room, whilst comfortable, was a little dated but the bathroom had been modernised and had an excellent shower. The food was very good but I was disappointed that the restaurant and room service stopped by 9pm. I used the gym once and must say it’s possibly the best equipped gym I have used in any city hotel. The spa looked excellent but I did not have time for a treatment. If you are staying north of Birmingham or want to weekend retreat then I would recommend you stay here.

Top Stay - Would go again
Brilliant relaxing stay for my partner and myself. The spa was lovely and not busy, the swimming pool is nice and you can get food and drink but it is quite cold than what you expect. This was £25 per person for a 3 hour slot. The room was lovely and the waterfall shower is amazing. We went also for the 6 course taster @£65 per head. The food was phenomenal really was, service was slow to start took ages to get a drink as we had to get the attention of the waitress but once over this, service was good and each dish was prompt. Great stay and would recommend and May look to go back. Top Stay

Pleasant stay
Pleasant and comfortable stay. Room was close to main staircase and reception and was a little noisy as people walked past chatting when getting late in the evening.

Hotel and staff were lovely, issues with the water pipe close by bursting meant our stay couldn’t happen and couldn’t even go to the spa! Even when we first arrived nothing was said about this issue ! Not hotels fault however a call to say there was an issue and if we would still attend. A refund is fine but however we had to wait around due to having a glass of Prosecco as thought we would be staying so has to wait around till it was safe to drive back.

Hi Sian, many thanks for your feedback. We are sorry that there was so much distribution to your stay with us on Saturday due to the burst water pipe in the local area. Our understanding was that the water would be back on in time for check in and we are sorry that this was not the case. The situation was very much out of our control and it was not safe to keep the hotel open. Should you wish to discuss this further please do contact us directly.

Room service food wasn’t as good as previous visits here. Got moved to a different room as a function was being held which was quite noisy so be aware if staying on Fridays!

Bedroom spotless and well equipped. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Disappointed with our experience in the bar in the evening when nobody seemed bothered about coming to take our food order. My husband had to go up to the bar 3 times.

Somewhat isolated but self-contained. Public area decor is a bit dated but rooms are compact but comfortable, modern and well-equipped. Food was good value and tasty. Overall good value and pleasant hotel. EV charging available. Would use again.
