“Not as good as it was but still worth it”

Spent some time here a few years back & everything was excellent. The place is now looking rather tired and could do with some serious maintenance on the apartments. That said, it's a great location for the NIA & Broad St & Brindley place waterfront, and is still reasonable good value.

“9 days of pure satisfaction”

This is a great place to relax and chill. I thought before I stayed that the apartments were not going to be what I had thought it would be because of certain reviews which people wrote. I clearly saw why people wrote reviews that were not so good and exaggeration. The hotel staff is wonderful and yes they are a combination of people from different backgrounds. Hello we live in Great Britain! The rooms were very clean and well prepared with everything inside including washer and dryer with a dish washer. All modern appliances and plenty of room to stretch out. I really like the area with is right next to the NIA and brantley place with a lot of shops and restaurants to enjoy during the day and night. Now there is a £250 deposit that is refunded which I had no problem with. This is a prime time location and a lot of young adults from university might stay for a weekend to party. This is not the hotel for that. These apartments are nice and people do actual live here and the rest of the apartments are rented out. So after 11pm no loud, loud noise. Also people are not allowed to congregate in your rooms unless you get written athority from the manager which I did with no problem. No smoking at all in the rooms. If you violate these rules then your deposit will not be refunded. Just keep it basic and everything will be alright. I really had a nice time and am already planning my trip back . Again, the place is really night for a getaway !

Area recommendations
All of the surrounding neighborhoods are great. City center is 5 minute walk away and Brantley Place is just across the street.
Shopping

Nightlife
all the good clubs are on broad street.......about 5minute walk....£2 to get in and £2 drinks....

No probs - nice two bedded apartment, we only stayed one night, but could easily stay for some time without feeling claustropobic, good sized apartment.

“Good change from hotels”

Check in was quick butwhen we got to the apartment we had a set of towels missing and no toilet roll. Small things but they count. The apartment was large, mostly clean and great for a couple of nights.

“Will definitely book these apartments again!”

The apartments were very nice and comfortable and it was a lovely change from just a hotel room. The only small problem with the bedroom in our apartment was the traffic noise at peak times - so the window had to be kept shut at night which may be a little warm in the summer! The apartments were supplied with all the little bits and pieces you forget to bring, such as washing up liquid, tea towel, shower gel etc. And they were right opposite the NIA which is exactly where we were wanting to go! We would definitely book these apartments again - we really enjoyed ours!

Area recommendations
Brindley Place, Birmingham - lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. A nice area around the Birmingham canals. Birminham also has a huge variety of shops and the Bullring shopping centre is very nice.

“Basic”

My first night at City Nites was excellent, nice and clean and contained all the required facilities. However their service has gone down a little. Toiletries aren't always present, only some apartments have dishwashers, not all the light bulbs work, dishes can be dirty and cutlery and crockery isn't always present. The apartments are beginning to look weary and need a overhaul. It is good for a very basic apartment, but don't expect too much. Service is good and location is convenient.

“Very comfortable, great location”

This accomodation was in a great location, very close to the redeveloped canal area which is great for eating out. We were going to a concert at the indoor arena and our flat was five minutes walk away which was very convenient. Our only niggle was that the pillows were of poor quality, if you are taking your car, we would suggest you take your own. Other than that, very clean, very comfortable and very well equipped, would definately recommend this accomodation.

“Absolut toll”

Events and shows
la Cruft : a voir absolument, une exposition canine certe mais combien différente de celles organisées en France, et quelle éducation ! Des allées toujours propres, presque ou peu d aboiement et j'en passe
