We have all new Rooms including suites,kings and executive queen rooms. Local attractions downtown is 3M, Civic Center 3M, Legion field 8M,Dog and horse track 7M, Zoo 5M and Botanical Gardens 5M. We have 130units and 4 double suites, 1 Jacuzzi suite and a large outdoor swimming pool, and play area, surrounded by mature landscapping. A free continental breakfast is severed between 630am and 930am every morning, and Coffee is available 24hrs. “Not worth the money I saved.”

I chose this hotel over the nearby hotel because it was cheaper. It was not worth the money I saved as the three people staying in the room on the horrible mattresses had neck and back pain for the next week. I am 30, but that mattress made me feel 90. There were people screaming in the pool area all night, and the pool contained about 3 feet of dirty gray water. The pool area was the only area of the hotel that was well-lit, the rest of the hotel was very poorly lit. The bathroom was dirty also.

Area recommendations
Basically an area that is not close to the airport. The area around the airport does not seem safe. BIrmingham is a nice city with many things to do, but I would not recommend this hotel.
Must see
The Vulcan-the World's Largest Cast Iron statue stands over the city. He was built for the World's Fair and is the Roman God of the Forge, representing Birmingham's metal and steel working past. Five Points area-This area is great for artsy types who like small interesting stores. Check out Charlemagne Records and Renaissance Records for used records, cds, and books. Check out the once-controversial fountain with the goat reading to a crowd of animals. (The rather harmless looking fountain was objectionable to some people who saw the goat as a symbol of the devil. Personally I think the fountain is adorable.)

“Realy Not Impressed”

it's ok if you just have to have a place to sleep while waiting on your airplane.
