“Being renovated, lobby new, rooms old - but clean”
For old rooms, it was clean and quite, all I ask for in a hotel. Pros: Quiet, clean, being updated, free breakfast and wi fi. Cons: Staff wanted to put me in the Expedia room(handicapped), and although hotel was half full, Jason? Josuha? at the front desk said "that's the room we have to put you in", which after some friendly banter he changed to a regular room. Thank You.
“Go to the Holday Inn”
An overpriced stay at a hotel that is stuck in the 1970's. In-room internet was non-functional, walls are paper-thin and the place is need of a serious renovation.
“Run Down Hotel In Run Down Area”
The Binghamton Riverwalk Hotel & Conference Center is, quite frankly, run down. The building seems as if it hasn't had any major interior work done since the 70's. It's not horrific or anything, but it definitely had an old feel to it, and not in a good way. The shop inside the hotel had few items, and was cash only. The vending machines were not well stocked at all and some were very old. I checked in hoping to grab some food and drink before I went to sleep, so this was very disappointing. The breakfast the next morning was poor as well. Very small selection of things to choose from, I didn't even bother. The area the hotel is located in is very run down as well, although the hotel wasn't exactly difficult to find. I'd have a hard time recommending this place to anyone to be honest.
“Horrible services!!!”
When we walk in the room, the room was a mess!!! The TV was on loudly, pop cans on the table, towels were all over. Not to mention the bed duvet covers were opened up. We felt like someone was using the room and went to the front deck to get help. Surprisingly, the front deck person did not even appologize for his fault of giving us a room that's left not cleaned. Anyways, the customer service was aweful and the way below than what we expected from the reviews. Not worth te money paid and will never go back again!
“Ashtray”
Although the Riverwalk is a smoke free hotel, the entire 4th floor smells like an ashtray. Disgusting.
“nice hotel”
staff very nice
“Very close to SUNY Binghamton”
The location was fine. Located in the heart of downtown Binghamton. The city itself must have been something else in it's heyday. Now it appears as if to be making a slow comeback. Walked across the street to the Lost Dog Restaurant- Excellent food and drinks. Very close to SUNY Binghamton, University Plaza, Vestal and Johnson City. The Continental Breakfast lacked fruit and cereal. It was basically coffee, danish and OJ. The Fitness Center was excellent, along with the indoor pool and jacuzzi. We booked a Queen bed with a pullout sofa, large flat panel TV with some movies incl. Very nice,
“Hotel in middle of renovation - our room still an old room and poor beds”
Hotel is in the midst of a renovation. Beds were way too soft. Could hear the door from the neighboring room squeak and slam everytime the people left and came back. The hotel said they offered a continental breakfast - not much a few muffins, donuts and orange juice or coffee to drink. No real place to even sit down to eat that. The pool and hot tub was nice and seemed to be well maintained. A large athletic area attached with lots of equipment.
“Nice place, poor "complimentary" breakfast”
Nice room, close to river, and with a great fitness center, and warm pool. Ample well-lighted parking. The staff at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Disappointed with the "complimentary" breakfast -- I don't expect much from these, but I do expect some cereal, bread for toast, and maybe some fresh fruit. There was pastries and small muffins (which looked delicious), but loaded with sugars and carbs, so if you are watching your diet, or happen to be diabetic, you are out of luck, as that was it. Not having any cereal or bread/toast seems egregious to me. The coffee was lousy too.
“Slept Like A Baby!!”
Hotel was close to shops and restaurants. Rooms clean and comfortable. Parking is free and staff friendly. Had a great 2 nights stay and it was so quiet I slept like a baby. I will stay here if I come to Binghamton area again.
