“Great place and location”
Very good service, quiet place in the center of Bilbao. Clean room and beautiful bathroom.
“Great Location but 3 star not 4!!”
Hotel was a good business hotel, but it was a good 3 star hotel, rather than a four star hotel. However I had a nice stay, and the location is great. So would recommend as the price was decent as well. Breakfast is expensive, but being a business hotel they charge company rates.
“This hotel is a very good choice.”
It is cheap, safe and close to many interesting places.
“Good location, clean and comfortable hotel”
We enjoyed our quick break in Bilbao, not least because this hotel is well placed for its two main attractions, the Guggenheim and the Old Town. The hotel room was plain but well appointed. Our only slight complaint was the location of our room above the restaurant where, on Friday night, there was a party which spilled noisily into the streeet under our window. But this really was a just a momentary problem. We did not use the hotel restaurant nor did we have breakfast there - Bilbao is full of tempting and cheaper places to eat!
“15 euro per person breakfast buffet was a rip off!”
The breakfast buffet was posted as being open from 7:15 - 10:30 am. We got there at 9:30 expecting to get a full selection of what was offered. The attitude of the female waitress was cold. She just looked at us and then handed us a chit to sign for the 15 euro per person breakfast buffet. I noticed that ALL the scrambled eggs were gone and most of the sausages. I asked her politely for some scrambled eggs but she said that they would not be making any more - What? It is 1 hour before closing of the restaurant and I have just paid 15 euros! Then I asked if there were going to be any more sausages brought out and she said NO. I was floored and said that I would complain. Our group of 4 had planned on having breakfast again the following day but not after the treatment we received from the staff . . . and lack of selection of food. We will never go back to this hotel again. I went to the front desk and made my complaint - the person I spoke to said that she would need to talk to the manager. The following day at checkout, I asked again about my complainta about the breakfast and she said that the manager was not around and that she would have to speak with him first - obviously that was the way they deal with all complaints - can't make a decision on their own and need to talk to the manager who is never around.
“Great location with continental breakfast!”
The only problem I encountered was the shower curtain kept sticking to me while I was in the shower, which was very annoying, and the hotel staff were unclear when providing information about taking public transportation. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. The continental breakfast was good, the room was clean, the staff were nice and it was a great location!
“good location, adequate room, friendly service.”

“Wouldn't go back”
Positives: The Hotel was clean. The location was very good for both the old town, the Guggenheim and the river-front. The hotel has secure parking underground (although this does cost extra). Negatives: The staff were very unfriendly. The breakfast was chaos - not enough staff to seat people/clear tables, not enough tables for guests, buffet constantly running out of food (with insufficient staff to replenish it). When we complained at reception they just shrugged and didn't seem bothered. The rooms were hot and the air conditioning took hours to cool the room to a comfortable temperature. Although the location is handy for sights, on the tourist map of Bilbao the streets outside are marked as 'nightlife'. There are about 5 nightclubs on the adjacent streets, although you can't hear the clubs you do hear the people on the streets all through the night. The decor of the bedrooms is a bit tired and, given that it's 4 star, there were no 'special touches' that you might expect.
“Bilbao husa: convenient local, walk to Guggenheim, restos”
Basic 3 star hotel, large breakfast buffet. Ability to rent bikes. Close to quiet square and good shopping, restaurants. You'll not find marble or granite baths, but it is a comfortable, clean reasonable hotel with a good breakfast.
“Good choice”
Hotel was in perfect location about midway between the old town and the Guggenheim museum...we walked everywhere. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking under the hotel was Euro 18/day, but worth it. Be sure to reserve parking ahead of time. Having breakfast included was great, and nice variety for a European hotel.
