“Great hotel”

This hotel was clean, comfortable and in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants. Bilbao was very hot and the air conditioning in our room provided a wonderful respite from the heat. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff was courteous and helpful.

“Value for money luxury”

The hotel is slightly upmarket compared to the area that it is in, across the road from the football stadium. A march had just finised when we came back one night but it was not a problem, the street cleaners had the area spotless by the next morning. You can easily walk to the Metro, the main coach station and into the town. We did the Guggenheim and a city walk one day then Santurtzi, the Portulgate Travelling Bridge and Getzo the next. The Funicular is absolutely amazing and for less than a euro well worth the trip for the view alone. The breakfast will set you up for the day so definately worth including in your booking. When the description says riverside it should add that the river is about 50m down from the level of the hotel. Our room was at the front, ovelooking the stadium but I guess the views out of the back must be stunning.

“Excellent value for money and clean”

The room was clean and a good size, the hotel staff were nice and helpful. It is two blocks from the Bus station (Termibus) where you can take a bus to the airport, there are metro and tram stations nearby. It is also a nice walk from the hotel to the Guggenheim Museum. In general very pleased with the hotel.

“do not miss Gugenheim special”

The hotel rooms need renovation especiall bathroom. Pillows are also too old. Compare with other Hesperia I have been, this one is rather old. Nevertheless the lobby is spacious and looks cosy.

“Hesperia Zubialde à Bilbao : un bon point de départ pour le Musée Guggenheim”

Hôtel très confortable et bien tenu. Petit déjeuner varié et copieux comportant des spécialités espagnoles. L'hôtel est bien situé pour la visite du Musée Guggenheim car on peut s'y rendre à pied. Parking privatif (payant comme partout) donnant directement sur l'hôtel. La seule restriction concerne l'exiguïté de la cafétéria, que notre groupe de 8 personnes n'a pas pu utiliser un dimanche soir car la salle de restaurant était retenue par un groupe.

Surpris par l'état des chambres (aménagement qui a mal vieilli, montants des portes éclatés par l'humidité des lavages à l'eau, rideaux qui auraient dû être remplacés depuis belle lurette, douche digne d'un musée). En revanche, buffet petit-déj digne d'un palace, localisation plutôt pratique, mais parking assez cher. Enfin, pas de quoi empêcher de dormir...

Wir waren in jeder Hinsicht mit dem Hotel zufrieden, Parkplatzmöglichkeit für das Auto.Gute Verkehrsanbindung an Autobahn, gute innerortliche Anbindung an das städtische Verkehrsnetz.

Buen hotel, muy buena atención. Ningún problema.

“Hotel für Fußballfans”

Stadthotel. Für Fußballfans ideal direkt neben dem Stadion gelegen. Metro, Straßenbahn und Busbahnhof fußläufig gut erreichbar. Frühstücksbueffet im Hotel sah von weitem gut aus, aber stilecht ist in Bilbao nur das Frühstück in der Bar (und billiger). Wer besser zu Fuß ist, geht entlang des Flusses auf der Promenade bis in die Altstadt und hat nahezu alle wichtigen Museen auf seinem Weg.
