“Short stay only”

Not so much a hotel as a pub with accomodation. Please be advised that this is no longer called the York, but the Sussex. Overall it is in need of a bit of refurbishment (e.g. mirror in bathroom was missing - presumably broken at some stage). Breakfast was included but disappointing in some respects - the cooked part was fine but there was no choice of cereal other than Coco Pops. The owner was very helpful and pleasant. The location of the Sussex is in a rather run-down area of Bexhill, but it is within walking distance of the sea front. The only good restaurant we found was an Italian restaurant on the sea front.
