“JungFrau”
My second trip to Wengen and I loved the south facing view. When you get off the cog train it is a 5 min. walk through the center of town; signs guide you to the hotel from the mainstreet(Make a left off the mainstreet before you have to walk up the hill). The view of the Alps is wonderful and the staff is always willing to help. This is a wonderful peaceful location. The faint cow bells at night in this car free village will lull you to sleep. Reminds me of what the states used to be like years ago in a small town.
“Best Hotel Ever!”
We had read about the Wengener Hof before arrival and as every review was glowing we thought that it would be too good to be true. However, I can honestly say that this was a wonderful hotel in every way! The staff are so helpful and friendly, you feel at home straightaway. The views from Hotel are stunning and it is conveniently situated within easy walking distance of the train station. The food was great and excellent value for Switzerland, I recommend the 5 course meal each night, it was imaginative and tasty cuisine. We simply can't fault anything and will certainly be going back as we told the lovely Manager who came to wish us goodbye
“Definitely go back”
We stayed at the Wengener Hof hotel for 4 nights what a little gem with breath taking view of the mountains, the staff we so helpful and speak very good english, the rooms were spotless clean with lovely old furniture. We used the spa at the sister hotel Siberhorn it was lovely, very modern.
“It doesn't get better...”
We stayed 4 days at the Wengener Hof and we couldn't have asked for more. The employees were extremely welcoming, the location is beautiful. Our rooms didn't have a view of the mountains but there is a lovely garden in front of the hotel with lawn chairs, a gazebo and a pond. There is also a small church about a minute's walk from the hotel with The View of Jungfrau and the valley and convenient benches. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and plentiful (lots of fruit, a selection of meat and cheese, veggies, eggs and sausages, lots of jams and juice, yogurt, musli, etc.). Wengen is a fairly small town so everything is close even if the hotel doesn't appear to be in the center when you look at the map. I would definitely go back to the region and this hotel.
“Highest return rate of any hotel in Wengen”
... and I can see why! One guest has been coming for four months every summer since 1980! Great position, nice comfortable rooms, excellent food and very friendly service. Can't recommend highly enough.
“Nice Hotel”
The Hotel is situated less than a 5 minute walk from the center of town. The hotel rooms are rather small but clean. The hotel staff is extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet is great. The half board is good too but I only ate there one night. Overall, a nice hotel but don't expect anything superior.
“ski holiday”
Single (mature!) female on skiing holiday. A great hotel- i was made to feel very welcome right from the start - not always the case in the past at other places. Great food, cosy bar, all staff very welcoming - caoldn@t have been better!
