Service was average after having experienced different parts of Switzerland. The strange thing about the layout of the room was lack of power sockets to charge devices. Amenities were basic but comfortable. Restaurant staff service was good. Overall rating of 2.5.

Overpriced for the quality. Rooms have been reconfigured to increase guest density. Bathroom has clear-view windows into bedroom, removing all privacy.

good location
this is an excellent hotel.I took late train from Zurich to Interlaken. It was already mid-night by the time I arrived the hotel. The reception lady was waiting for me. This is excellent. Otherwise, I'll problem in getting in. The hotel is a bit old but clean and tidy. Small balcony with a good view. Service is good. The location is good which is only a few minutes walk for the train station.

The hotel is old and the wooden floor makes a lot of noise. The room is very hot so need to open window and quite noisy as it faces the main street.

Huge Room and wonderful stay....
We had a fantastic stay in the Carlton-Europe...wonderful staff, great location and huge room. Very comfortable stay....We had a lovely outlook of the mountains, however, weather was not kind.....

Great Location and service!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Interlaken and at the Hotel Carlton, that we stayed one extra night, which the did there best to accommodate us. The Location was ideal and an easy walk to the center of the small town. There was a nice restaurant adjacent to the hotel with a nice bar a patio overlooking the main road and all the action. Our room had a nice balcony on the back side which was quiet with a wonderful view of the mountains.. We also had an updated bathroom and the room size was quite large for European standards.. For the price we paid I would highly recommend this hotel and although it is only a 3 star rating it was all we needed for this cute and charming town with sooo much to do and see.

AMAZING STAFF! STUNNING BREAKFAST
The staff are truly amazing and go above and beyond to help you. The breakfast is the best i have had in the region! The rooms are tiny, beds are very hard and the showers are a battle of trying to move in a TINY area. Most of the time you are trying to not tough the shower curtain. Please advise if you are going in summer months, avoid as there is NO AC and the rooms get hot. This is a very very very simple room and should not be a 3 star. But the staff and breakfast are 5 star.

Great location
This is a lovely charming little hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was a great size with a huge ensuite. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is easy to walk in to town from here and it is literally 200m from the train station. Fantastic.

Best hotel in my Europe stay.
I loved my stay at Carlton Europe. Its very close the Interlaken Ost station. The hotel has the charm of an old European hotel and the view from the rooms is breathtaking. I booked by mistake the wrong dates. When I called the hotel they were very courteous and professional. They changed the dates for us. When we reached there we were 2 adults and 1 child, which they only got as 2 adults through expedia. They surprised us by giving us a Suite. The staff is great and helpful, each one of them has given us advice on travel, they would check the weather in advance if we need to go to a destination. They even lended an umbrella one day when it was raining lightly. Mr Dominik in particular has helped us change the dates and in general very professional. Breakfast was good, not great but not too bad.

My husband and I stayed at Carlton-Europe Hotel for two nights during our stay in Interlaken in April 2012 for Easter. I ranked this hotel the best compared to the other 5 hotels in Germany, Swiss and Italy with similar price that we also booked on hotels.com for our trip. The service of this hotel is excellent, we were greeted upon check-in and were provided a map of the city and a travel card that allowed us taking the all buses free of charge in Interlaken and between the Ost and West station. The front desk staff that received us - Christina, was particularly helpful to all our requests and always wears a big and sweet smile which makes guests feel welcome. Our room was spacious and decorated in country style with a balcony that could directly see the snow mountains. The bathroom was nice with a shower tap that you could adjust the water pressure and temperature you want so after a long day trip we could relax the muscles. The breakfasts were also nice with a variety of quality food to choose (much better than other hotels with similar price). The hotel also has a pool table and a common room for use. Late check-out was also ok and we received a small jar of homemade jam as a gift  when we checked out and it was a surprise to us. The staff did not just serve you as a job but with professional attitude that care about your stay with them. The hotel restaurant was also nice, we tried traditional Swiss Fondue and it was tasty and cheaper than other restaurants around town. This hotel is situated in good location, only a few mins walk from the train station (Interlaken Ost). Overall I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to visit Interlaken.

This hotel was not renovated, looked and felt old, but was right across the street from the funicular up the mountain. The hotel was a little shabby, but the breakfast (included) was good. Eh!

can't recommend this hotel to any body
no room service, they don't allow to eat in the room. after paying so much amount we took our bags to our room on 3 floor.. heater works some times.. no complimentary tea or coffee bags in the room. AVOID THESE HOTEL...

The Carlton is located 200m from the Interlaken Ost Railway station. Value is reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not many dining options nearby.

Beautiful Hotel
Carlton-Europe is made up of two older hotels joined by a common lobby. We were in the Carlton wing. If arriving in Interlaken by train, get off at the Interlaken Ost station: the hotel is a two minute walk form the Ost station but 10 minutes from Interlaken West. I really liked this hotel. As an older hotel, each room (as well as each floor) is slightly different. Ours was of good size (for a European hotel). The bathroom was tiny but functional. The hotel is away from the hustle and noise of "downtown" Interlaken. About the only downside to the hotel was its proximity to a church whose bells rang on the hour throughout the night. However, I recommend this hotel without reservation.

Comfortable and Convenient hotel with helpful friendly staff
This hotel is conveniently located near Interlaken ost hbf, the local coop for shopping and a beautiful look out called the Harderkum. It is a short pleasant walk to the centre of town. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean although some rooms at the same price have substantially more space and better views eg 1 small attic window compared to balcony plus two large windows. Recommend this hotel.

Staff was very nice, but room lacked airconditioning (windows caught afternoon sun setting to the west) thus was uncomfortably hot during our stay. Also, sound proofing was non-existant; we heard guests walking overhead all night. We enjoyed Interlaken, but would not return to this hotel.

The location is great, far enough from the city center and close enough to walk to the heart of the city. Very close to the train station. Just make sure you book it using expedia, it is cheaper than calling them. Also, if you need an extra bed book it in advance from Expedia rather than going to the hotel and getting one. The charge 4 times the money if you ask for an extra bed. Call expedia before you leave for an extra bed.

AN OUTSTANDING HOTEL
This 3 Star Hotel should be a 5 Star. It is a short 3 minute walk from Interlaken OST Train Station, the staff is outstanding. The room we we given had a view of the mountains along with a balcony to sit out on. The room was large for European standards, clean and updated. Our large bathroom had heated towels bars along with tub and shower. I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel. It is an older hotel so still has that ambiance but completely updated. Clean, immaculate, great and helpful staff and convenient location. I look forward to staying there again and highly recommend it. It was a pleasant surprise for a 3 star hotel.

Der Empfang war sehr herzlich mit einem Drink nach unserer Wahl. Unser Eckzimmer lag im 4. Stock und war sehr geräumig und durch die vielen Fenster sehr hell. Das Hotel mit vielen Verwinklungen hat einen ganz eigenen Charme. Das Frühstück war sehr vielseitig. Zum Kongress-Zenter waren es zu Fuss nur ca. 8 min. Die Rezeption des Hotels ist nicht 24h besetzt. Im Gebäude gibt es auch eine Bar. Kleiner Minuspunkt: ich habe den Zimmernachbarn durch die Wand schnarchen hören.

Altehrwürdiges Haus, sanft und stilvoll renoviert
Freundlicher und aufgestellter Empfang an der Desktop. Geschmackvoll renoviertes Zimmer unter Respektierung der historische überlieferten Inneneinrichtung. Sanitärtechnik im Bad auf neuestem Stand und sehr sauber. Gut geschlafen trotz Nähe zum Bahnhof und Strasse. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet und guter Service. Für mich gerne wieder einmal eine gute Adresse.

인터라켄 오스트역에서 매우 가깝고 큰길가에 있어서 찾기쉬웠습니다. 스텝들도 친절했지만 3성급인데 비해 넘 비쌌고 건물이 오래돼 클래식한 느낌은 좋지만 방음이 넘 안됐습니다.

חדר ענק בעל כל הנדרש ממלון. החדר נקי, הצוות מקסים, עונה ועוזר ככל יכולתו. חניה במחיר סמלי. אינטרנט חינם במהירות סבירה. ללא מזגן - בעיה בימים חמים. מיטה נוחה.

食卓の食塩にはえが入っていた。 食事も不味い。　これほどの料金とり、wifiも有料とは、信じられない。　フロント前にあるPCを使うよう言われたが、ホテルのHPで、ホテルの紹介痔か見れない。速度が遅くてイライラする。

駅に至近で便利
インターラーケンオスト駅に非常に近く便利。もちろん、チェックアウト後もスーツケースを預かってくれたので駅のコインロッカーを使わずにすんだ。 ダブルベッドルームとなっていたが、マットは分かれていたのでシングルがくっついているような形であり、振動が伝わらず落ち着いて眠れた。 改装されたのかトイレ・洗面・浴室周りが新しそうでよかった。
