Modern cabin, remote setting & accessible location

Posted 10-Mar-2015
The Log Cabin owners are very nice, but not in the way. This is a new, modern cabin with a warm, clean, and comfortable atmosphere. The radiant heating throughout and the gas fireplace in the common living room make this a cozy place to stay in the winter. The cabin has a very quiet and remote feeling to it, but is conveniently not a very far drive from the interstate. Breakfasts are hearty and delicious!

Best Lodging in the Area

I've stayed at The Log Cabin Bed & Breakfast five or six times, and it never disappoints. Whenever I'm visiting Greenfield (about 20 minutes away), I check to see if one of innkeeper, Kathy's, two rooms are available. I love the high vaulted ceilings, radiant heating in the floor, comfy bed (with flannel sheets!), and free wifi. Kathy keeps the place immaculate, and I appreciate her accommodating my vegetarian diet when she prepares breakfast. The cabin is in the middle of nowhere, so cell phone use is problematic. There's also no designer hair care products in the bathrooms (just some body wash), so bring that with you if you want it. Other than that, there isn't a better place to stay in northwest MA.

The proprietor of the Log Cabin B&B was pleasant without being overly familiar. She recommended an excellent local restaurant for dinner and prepared a delicious breakfast. Great experience!

Close enough to Brattleboro

Posted 09-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
We went to a wedding in Brattleboro and this was the perfect place, if you like solitude. Kathie, the host, was very cordial and accommodating, and the "cabin" is very nice. The king bed was very comfy, and the room had a nice shower and a deck with rocking chairs. Breakfast was great, but I prefer fresh-brewed coffee to Kuareg, but Kathie isn't a coffee maker. That's about the only complaint. Great place.
