“Helpful and welcoming staff, great hotel.”
Everything about this hotel was excellent. I have never received such fantastic service. I wish there were a hotel like this in every city. Great facilities, great location, great breakfasts. Top marks.
“Excellent value for money!”
We were extremely happy with this hotel. We booked a last minute break and wanted value for money. This hotel was much cheaper than most of the other 5* hotels. We upgraded to a deluxe room which I strongly recommend. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great. Bus and trains 100 meters away and within walking distance to brandenburg gate through the park. Fitness area was excellent. Overall this was excellent value for money.
“Will definitely go back!”
Excellent hotel. Superb pool and gym. Breakfast expensive but plenty of places nearby to eat. We shopped around and got a very good rate. I would definitely recommend!
“Five Star Living”
Beautifully positioned overlooking Tiergarden. Wonderful restaurant. Well fitted and spacious room with super efficient air con. Friendly staff. Fantastic choice & quality breakfast.
“Pullman Berlin”
Very conveniently located if you want to be close to the zoo or Ku’damm areas. The hotel is about 4 minutes walk away from the front entrance to the zoo. The area itself is flat and easy to get around although in Aug 2011 when we were there, there was some minor construction work close to the zoo train station but nothing major for pedestrians to worry about and far enough away from the hotel. The street the hotel is located on is a nice tree lined one (which isn’t uncommon in this part of Berlin) and is very nice and quiet. The pool is a nice bonus to have after walking around in the summer heat as we did. The sun terrace area is very small and is actually a kind of courtyard between the back of the hotel, the back of a bank and the back of an office block so there isn’t a view of anything other than buildings but the few chairs that were out there were always in constant use.
“Excellent Berlin hotel”
Fantastic hotel near the Zoo, very clean and staff were extremley helpful. Good rail and bus connections (which to be fair goes for most of Berlin) and walking distance to the Kufursrtendamm. Great breakfast, nice pool, 10 out of 10.
“Great hotel in a quiet area”
Very nice hotel - has a spa and lovely swimming pool. Seems perfect for the business traveller. It was a little bit farther away from the downtown area, but still close enough to get there in about 15-20 minutes. Quiet area, friendly staff.... overall, very pleasant.
“"Not quite a total 5” but was good hotel”
Hotel is really nice, though not quite 5*. I had my room on 7th floor, facing the zoo area with very good view. The street was very quite. The bus stop is just outside the front door, so this is easy access to the city. It is in a quite area with no night life in the area. Room was clean and nice. Bathroom on slight small side but was ok. Bed and the pillows were great. Breakfast is is good with great choice of food. Free internet in their Business centre including free printer (i checked on line printed my boarding pass).
“Excellent service in a top class hotel”
The Pullman Berlin Schweizerhof was an excellent choice for our short stay in Berlin. The service was superb. Nothing was too much for them. When my iPad charger failed to work, they immediately produced a replacement for use in the room. Any call to house keeping was answered in just a few minutes! All the staff were very polite, efficient and as helpful as possible. The facilities in the hotel are excellent - especially the Spa Centre which has a very large swimming pool with lots of natural light, excellent saunas, steam room, foot baths and a very adequate small gym well provided with running/cycle machines, free weights (10kg max!), bench and kinetic cable equipment. The gym is open 24/7! The business facility offers four pcs with free internet connection. Rooms have free wired internet connection. Unfortunately, wifi comes at a price in rooms (I think €9 a day) and is not available in the public areas. The corriders are very wide, roomy and well lit and full of attractive and interesting abstract art. Each floor has seating and coffee tables, providing a pleasant and open area in which to sit and enjoy the views over the Berlin Zoo. A 50% discount on the breakfast was incredible value. Eat as much as you like with eggs, omlettes and panakes cooked to your order, 7 min and 5 min boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, meatballs, fruits, numerous cereals, dried fruit, yoghurts, pasteries, fruit juices, etc., & German newspapers (only Wall Street Journal Europe in English.)
“Ideal base for long weekend”
Berlin is so big its difficult to say where the ideal location is, but this was very good, 5 mins walk from the best shopping area and the main Zoo bus/tube station which has a bus running to the air[port every 10 mins, which takes 25 minutes(109 or X9). Also a bus stop into Mitte is 100yds down and comes every 10mins. Perfect! The hotel was very nice, had a full fitness centre and rooms were of a good size with all you need. Breakfast is lovely, they have everything there, but is v.expensive so we only went one morning, when we were on a day out, but otherwise there are so many cafe's all over the city to get it elsewhere, if like us that was a little out of budget. Great place, great city, loved it, would definately stay there again.
