The check-in process was really bad and has given us a very bad impression of the hotel. Even though alone we waited 5 to 10 minutes The management should put a bell on the reception tor guests to call for a receptionist! No help from one of the bar staff

I stayed in the Leipzig Pentahotel earlier this year and fell in love with it, so when staying in Berlin, this was an easy choice. This was just as good, if not better than the Leipzig Pentahotel, food and cocktails were great and service was exceptional - thank you!

Comfortables stay, good breakfast, gym and lobby
Nice spacious rooms and clean bathroom. Breakfast has to be the best thing here with lots of fresh food available (cereals, yoghurt, cheeses, breads pastries, hot food, tea and coffee) The reception area is really relaxed with a pool table and ps4 games available for guests. The gym is also well equipt and also has a sauna! Downsides: no fridge in the rooms. No ironing board/ iron in the room but can be requested from reception.

Hotel is in good area beside river with lots of bars, cafes, restaurants within walking distance. Tram/bus stop right outside with direct bus to Schonefeld airport (164) Check in and out was quick and easy, left luggage facilities were used. We did not eat here but they do room service. There's a big funky candle-lit bar with beer garden. There was tape around the beer garden - not sure if this was designed to keep it off-limits to non-guests but it didn't look great. The bar drinks menu is quite extensive but the first two drinks we requested ere both not available. Lifts worked well. Games console at reception. Room was clean, modern and very spacious for the price, with bath/shower, hairdryer, washing line, toiletries and towels provided. No mini-bar. Windows opened onto main road outside. Air-con worked ok. Power sockets beside bed. No iron / ironing board. Staff spoke perfect English. Free WiFi. Being a typical Brit tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be welcome. Would happily stay here again.

The hotel is excellent, the design is amazing. The general and bar areas are very welcoming and fun to be in. The only negative point to make is the lack of staff for the restaurant area. It took a very long time to order or get drinks/food.

On the last day of our stay, which was the 30th of December 2018, the chicken served to my wife for dinner at the restaurant was burnt and charred. She requested for the order to be replaced. The chicken now served was not fully cooked, it was still raw. My wife realised this after taking a bite. She later had allergic reaction, which was visible on her face for several hours. She was very distressed because of this experience. This was an unpleasant experience and was unacceptable. My wife continues to have stomach issues after returning to the UK and has been advised to undergo some tests. Moving on to another experience, after checking in on the 28th of December 2018 in the evening, we ordered pizzas for dinner to be delivered to our room 304 and I informed the person taking the order on the phone that I will be paying for the order in the room using my debit card. I couldn't make the payment using my debit card because of some problem with the card machine used by the hotel staff. Since we had arrived after a long journey, we were exhausted. I asked a member of your staff if I could pay the bill at the reception the following morning (just to let you know I had paid for three nights stay in advance at the time of booking online via Expedia.com) given that I would be staying in the hotel for three nights. The member of staff informed me that I was required to come down to the reception immediately after dinner to make the payment. This was discourteous.

Good hotel, but they didn’t want to give us a king bed instead of 2 separate beds unless we upgrade. But we booked king bed.
