Room 418 Hotel Blub

Posted 25-Apr-2015
Pros: Proximity to work. Well placed for public transport to the town. Some road traffic for the next 2-3 junctions, so the U-Bahn is the solution.
Cons: Not a lot. The hotel is good order and a reasonable price. I liked it.
Location: My work but Templehof is worth a visit.
I stayed in room 418 on the interior court of the hotel. A very quiet room and clean. The staff were very friendly and organised. Somehow they organised sunny days, so I could walk to work. I SHALL HAPPILY STAY THERE AGAIN.

good location, great price , BAD WIFI

Posted 23-Apr-2015
Pros: 1- location 2- price 3- friendliness of staff
Cons: The internet (WIFI) needs to allow for VPN, SKYPE, PLEX and other apps. blocking ports is a deal breaker for business users.
Location: there is a subway station about a quater of a mile from the hotel * U7 line** this line also takes you very close to the airport. location is great
i think the service in the hotel was great, the staff was friendly the room was clean, the price was great.. so what were the issues ? 1- The internet (WIFI) is locked down to only allow basic features for example SKYPE, PLEX and VPN wouldnt work. this is a deal breaker as I needed VPN to connect to work back in the states. I also dont like the idea of the hotel blocking ports. 2- Curtains - the curtains there were for pure decoration and didn not block most of the light into the room as a result the room was very bright early in the morning. not what you want after an 10 hour flight. 3- Blanket size - the blanket was made for kids and not a full grown man, thankfully they had 2 blankets and i used them both to cover myself. besides these three the hotel had no other issues.

Close to U Bahn

Posted 18-Apr-2015
Pros: Liked the location, cleanliness, staff, hot water, beds and TV.
Cons: Add a coffee maker to the rooms.
Very nice hotel with great tub, TV, beds, storage place. Close to a river with wonderful trails and a fabulous Italian restaurant on the next corner. I find it very unusual that at 4 star hotel does not provide coffee makers with coffee and tea. They were very gracious in lending me their water kettle. The front staff was very helpful with information although I didn't find out until the end of the stay that you can buy your U Bahn passes with them. I also walked all the way to Neukolln along the Karl-Marx-Strassee and found a place called Rixdorf that was founded in 1360. There was a great restaurant there called Louis Café.

Best value for your money !

Posted 08-Apr-2015
Pros: spacious room, clean and comfortable. Nice area.Close to local public transportation.
Cons: They still give a key room, that you should return when you go out, and take back when you go in.
Location: There are no attractions nearby, but it is very easy to use the public transportation. Buy the one day ticket – that cost about 7 euro.
The hotel is easy to reach from schoenefeld airport- even by bus. A 15 min ride no.171 bus. My room was on the other wing, something like an apartment hotel but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a small kitchen. Nice area. Not in the center, but very close to the local public transportation.

Pros: Clean & comfortable with pleasant staff.
Cons: Restaurant menu is a rather limited.
Location: A few minutes drive from Estrel Convention Centre.
This turned out to be a good bargain priced for such a clean & modern hotel. Good parking facilities are always a necessity for me & my Luton van. This hotel delivered on that aspect. The main road is quite busy most of the time, so rooms at the front of the hotel can be a bit noisy even with the windows closed, but I still managed to get a good night's sleep. Bar & restaurant prices are not as high as you might expect in such a hotel, its perfectly feasible to get a good meal with drinks for less than £20 per head.

Good transport links and well appointed hotel.

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Pros: The best things about the hotel were the friendly and helpful staff, the clean rooms and the transport links.
Cons: The old TVs in the rooms should be replaced, if only for electricity saving. The hall lights are manually turned on as you go, maybe a motion sensor?
I had a room facing the central courtyard/restaurant of the hotel (there are four wings, three of which face outwards). The room was clean and comfortable, with a good free wireless signal. The bathroom was large with a lot of empty space. There is a subway station five minutes walk (ten minutes amble) and a bus stop (171) right outside the hotel. Next to the hotel (walking towards the station) is a park, a canal, a graveyard and some shops. The park looked nice. The restaurant was OK and the food plentiful, although the breakfast price (EUR12) seemed a little excessive. There are few outside breakfast choices, though, and I couldn't be bothered getting supplies in. The hotel restaurant and the two restaurants outside the hotel (a little cafe and a Greek restaurant) gave huge portions, so you may struggle through both a entrée and a main. Good prices and tasty food. For the price, this hotel is excellent value, especially after chatting to one person on a bus tour who was staying in a shared room in a central hostel for more than I was paying. One important point: The Expedia description states that the hotel has a spa treatment room. I mentioned this to the reception, and they will hopefully remove this incorrect description.

Hotel an lauter Straße

Posted 20-Feb-2015
Leider sind das keine Hotelzimmer in einem angeblichen 4 Sterne Hotel. Die Sterne sehr irre führend. Unbequeme Betten.
