The trains and underground are the best way to travel and buying a travel ticket for the duration of your stay means you dont have to look for ticket machines whenever you travel

“Excellent value and location”

The hotel is situated very favourably for a visit to Berlin. It is on the edge of the Tiergarten and across the street from a urban/commuter rail station. Many sites of historic and contemporary interest are within walking distance. The vast Tiergarten is in itself a delight! Apart from the hotel restaurant facilities, eating places around the hotel are limited, but the station itself has a small cafe for a quick snack. Excellent hotel for adults for tourism and business.

Area recommendations

I would recommend the Tiergarten, and the general areas attenuated to the Tiergarten perimeters and Unter den Linden including the Reichstag, the Museum Island (e.g. the Pergamon Museum), the Berlin Philharmonic, the memorial to the Holocaust, and the few surviving elements of the Berlin Wall.

“More than standard Novotel quality”

This hotel is few steps from the Tiergarten S-Bahn station and in a very nice neighborhood if you like to run or walk in the mornings. Hotel staff speaks very good english (actually %99 of the people in Berlin speaks fluent English) and very helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. I had a very good deal from expedia.

Berlin is one of the very nice and entertaining cities in Europe. Museums, restaurants, nightlife, shopping. So many to choose from..

“Brilliant Location - Excellent Hotel”

Just back from 3 days B&B at the this hotel. Lovely. Very friendly staff and a brilliant location for site seeing. A lovely walk through the Tiergarten takes you to the Brandenberg Gate (about 30 minutes) and across the road is Tiergarten S-Bahn Station which easily links you to all points Berlin. The Zoo is only one stop away and in only a few minutes you can be at Alexanderplatz or Charlottenberg Palace. Breakfast is excellent and the Reception Staff very helpful. The hotel is clean and well maintained. We had a standard Room which wasn't huge but was comfortable and clean. Can recommend it and when we return to Berlin (which we will) then we'll definately stay there again!

Area recommendations

It's all brilliant. Can recommend Charlottenberg Palace, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexanderplatz Tower, Reichstag - but due to security issues you have to book on-line a week or so before you arrive if you want to go inside to see the glass dome - The Zoo (which is probably the best I've ever been to) - Bao Bao the panda is lovely!! Take a boat trip on the river and go to the Pergamon Museum if you have an interest in archeology and stuff. Buy a "Berlin Welcome" pass for travelling - 72 hours unlimitted travel on both the the S and U-Bahn. If you buy 2 a child under 14 travels free - and you get a book of discount vouchers giving up to 25% off entrance fees to the Zoo, Museums, Alexanderplatz Tower, etc, etc. Lovely City - definately going back!!

“Great Hotel in every way!”

I was very happy when I arrived at this hotel. It was just two stops away from the main train station by the S-Bahn. The hotel was very nice and modern. Although our room faced the S-Bahn station, I didn't really hear noise from it when the windows were closed. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we had along our trip with too many choices of what to eat. An extra bonus if you are there on Saturday morning - just outside the breakfast room/lobby area - a swap meet with antiques, silver, steins, just about everything (including junk too). It was alot of fun getting to shop there and we found some really fun deals to bring home as souveniers!

“Good functional hotel”

well maintained, quiet and right next to the S-Bahn are it's positive features - on the down side, there is not much in the immediate area, and it does feel a bit off the beaten track although it takes only a short ride to 'where it's at".
