“An excellent hotel.”

A great hotel but the breakfast was expensive at 22 Euros each. There are plenty of shops very close where you can buy breakfast, however.

“Good location, clean and comfortable.”

Central location of the hotel meant that it was easy to wander Berlin, see the sights and drop back to the hotel for a break. It is easy to get to from the train station, a few minutes walk. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin.

“Excellent central hotel”

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Melia, we booked a junior suite which was very comfortable and well worth the additional cost, we were very impressed with the services and extra's received in ' The Level' I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

“Great hotel in a good location”

Great hotel in a good location. Walking distance to most of the major attractions. Well worth paying the extra to stay on the Level. Breakfast is free and they do free drinks and tapas in the evening, so it more than pays for itself. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. There is a direct train from Berlin Schonefeld airport to within 100m of the hotel, which was an added bonus. The Berlin Welcome Card makes life easier - you can use all public transport and it does get you discounts at some venues (but not many). Transport is generally pretty efficient and cheap, but we tended to walk to most places.

“A Great Find in a Handy Location”

Sol Melia is a relatively new hotel and the welcome you get on arrival is great. The check-in was very smooth and extremely helpful in terms of useful information. The room was a good size with plenty of storage space, flat screen tv and comfortable bed. The breakfast was a fairly pricey but there are plenty of alternatives very close to the hotel. It is located just 10 minutes walk from Unter Den Linden and only a couple of minutes from Friedrichstrasse Bahnhof where you can get trains to most places very quickly. All in all this was an ideal hotel for a city break and highly recommended.

“Great find!”

Very modern comfortable hotel in fabulous location on the river in the eastern section. Close to lots of restaurants and bars. Walking distance to good shopping (Galleries Lafayette) and Brandenburg Gate. Very convenient to public transportation. Staff were extremely helpful.

“Stay in The Level”

We stayed in The Level room category. The room was average size, a nice large bath tub, but no separate shower, it was part of the tub. The club lounge was excellent, very modern and comfortable. The breakfast had a large range to choose from and you could order eggs any way you liked. The evening cocktails was excellent also, with wines, beer and a full range of spirits to choose from. The canapes were also delicious and abundant. Great hotel, there were always 3 or more staff at the front counter to help you out. The Sauna is 24 hours, though you may need to get staff to turn it on for you during non peak periods, but it's easy enough to turn on yourself and only takes 15 minutes to warm up. Close to the main station and a large shopping strip with most major brands (3-5 minute walk max)
