“good hotel”
good hotel, very clean but the location to the center and even to the metro is far
“success”
I just liked my Expedia arrangement, that is all. This is what I expect, accuracy and not to be troubled with aditional telephonecalls. Thank you.
“Very Impressed”
My wife and I recently stayed at KuDamm 101 for a a birthday treat. I was looking for a hotel which would come into the category of 'contemporary', and I have to say that it didn't dissappoint. The hotel was very chic, the staff were very friendly and helpful, as well as being knowledgable. Our room was really nice, and although it practically overlooked KuDamm, noise was not an issue. The bar area was nice and there is a courtyard garden which made for a lovely place to sit and have a drink at the end of a busy day sight seeing. I thought the bar prices were a little steep, but generally they were to be expected of a hotel in a major city. I cannot comment on the food, as we didn't eat here, instead choosing to eat in cafes further along KuDamm (the choice is plentiful). The location was a little further from the main sights than I realised. That said, the U-Bahn is very good and it didn't really detract from our sightseeing. It just meant that we spent a bit longer on the U-Bahn than we planned. Ultimately, I was very happy with KuDamm 101. I thought it to be a good place to stay and terrific value for a major European city.
“Too much hidden charges”
The price of the breakfast was charged extra, at 15 € per day, and I thought that it was included when I booked that hotel. WiFi was charged extra. at 10 € per day, while it was not specified in the quote as extra but as available. This adds up much to the basic price of the room and makes it not competitive. Plus, TV has just 1 program in English, all others are in German. Otherwise, hotel is OK, service is acceptable.
“Good for business trips.”
Minimalistic atmposfair, but not cozy.
“Nice hotel, great value”
We initially booked ourselves in to a medium-tier room at a very reasonable cost, but for an additional 10 euros a night were able to upgrade to a premium, which I would definitely recommend - you then get a bath as well as shower, and the room is very spacious, feels more like a suite! We also had a good view of the boulevard outside but windows are double-glazed for quietness when you need it... Look out for Phuong on reception, he was very helpful and pointed us towards key restaurants etc! The hotel is around 1/2 an hour by bus or train from the centre of town, but is in the very pleasant Kufurstenfdamm region of west Berlin. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it seemed a little pricey but there are plenty of bistros nearby that serve decent coffee. All in all a great place to stay on a small-medium budget.
“Good hotel for a quick trip to Berlin”
Service is not the best, but hotel is fine and clean.
“Nice morden and clean hotel, with good serivce”
Its very clean and modern, the room was specious and the service was good. However I would prefer the TV to be a bit larger.
“Great place”
Very nice hotel with friendly staff and modern design. The breakfast was also great. The only negative thing was the location (Ku'damm) which I personally think is a bit boring. Only 200-300 S-bahn though so we managed.
“Modern Gem”
I found the staff at this hotel far more personable and helpful than is generally the case in the U.S. or the U.K., and I do not speak a word of German. The room was not huge but it was immaculate, just spotless. The interior design is modern that is easy on the eyes. I would definitely stay here again.
