“Staying in a train station”

When we first arrived and found the hotel in the station we were disappointed. However, after the three nights there is was fantastic - we received complimentary transport for the busues, trains and buses and the location was so convenient. However, there is no free WiFi which nowadays is taken as a given in a hotel.

While the location is convenient from a transportation point of view it is in a desolate area of formerly East Berlin. While the cost of the breakfast is included in the room rate of most German hotels here the additional price of the breakfast is outrageous. However, one can go into the train station and have breakfast for less than half the price charged by the hotel.

“Great location would use again”

Location - right at the Ostbahnhof - and easy access to transport was why I booked this hotel. Staff were very helpful and the pass for public transport was a bonus. The room had everything we required but in summer could be hot as no air conditioning.

Ideally located within concourse of Ostbanhof station which in turn is served directly from Sconefeld Airport so getting there was easy. Hotel also provided free of charge a travel card that got you unlimiited travel throughout Berlin which, being a first time visit, meant I had no worries about getting about. Hotel itself was very clean and exactly what we were looking for - could not fault it.

“Great location to public transportation”

The location of the hotel was great. It was right at the Ost banhof so you could take the trains anywhere quickly and easily. There were also food places where you could get something to eat from early to late. The people at the front desk were very helpful and we each got a free travel pass that could be used on all transportation, which saved a lot of money. The rooms were clean, but the bed pillows were not very good. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, because we felt that the prices were way too high.

“Best place to stay in Berlin!”

Excellent hotel. Clean room, Pleasant, helpful staff. No air conditioning so on a hot Berlin day it's HOT! Ask for a fan at the front desk which helps a bit. Hotel gives guest a free pass for metro, S-bahn, U-bahn, tram and bus for the duration of your stay. It allows you to go to Potsdam and the airport. Since the hotel is literally at the Ostbanhof station, you can go everywhere for free. The station also has a shopping mall with drugstores, great supermarket, cleaners, restaurants, McDonald's, breakfast places, bank, ATMs, and travel stores. Very convenient! Best place to stay. Hotel restaurant expensive but options galore at the mall!

Conveniently located, yet quiet hotel. Comfortable rooms. City transport tickets nice bonus.

“My Preferred Hotel in Berlin”

The hotel is located right in the train station which makes it extremely convient to get to anywhere in the city. In fact, there is a train that goes directly to the airport. Your stay at the hotel includes a pass that's good for all the public transportation in Berlin, a real savings. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and most speak English. I've stayed here before and plan to stay here again the next time I go to Berlin. It's really the only hotel I would consider.

“Good standard hotel in Berlin”

Nice hotel, very clean and everything you would expect in the room. Location was good but was a bit too close to the train station for my liking....would have prefered something a little more picturesque. Bargain though really as booked for New Years Eve.
