“Rekaxing Berlin”

This is very good hotel and we felt relaxed here at once.It is handy for the U and S bahn at Frankfurter Allee.the s bahn has a direct line to Schoenfeld airport. Our beds were very comfortable but do get the extra pillow that is available on request. I have stayed here before and was delighted to find that the breakfasts are eevn better than ever.Good selection- wonderful scrambled eggs. breads, meat cheese. fruits juice coffee and excellent service .The neighbourhood sounds quiet and you get a great sleep.The hotel is on the edge of the friedrichstein restaurant/cafe zone w2hich is nice to explore.

“A quiet hotel”

As frequent visitors to Berlin to visit family, we found this hotel to be very quiet, clean and convenient. With the changes to the Berlin S-Bahn system, it is now even more convenient for Schonefeld airport, using the Frankfurter Allee station. The room was comfortable, and the included breakfast was welcome. The area around the hotel has many different cafes and restaurants so it is easy to have meals close to the hotel. I'm sure we shall return.

“Comfortable, reasonably priced base for Berlin”

Our stay was in Feb 2010. Comfortable hotel in 19th century building, staff very willing and helpful.Generous buffet breakfast with cooked meats, eggs etc.Internet available on a computer near reception.Room clean and good sized( we paid a little more for a comfort room). Beds were comfy( twins together, rather than a double) and hot water was always available with very good shower. TV has BBC news and French stations as well as German ones.No hot drinks facilities in the room, so bring a travel kettle. Position is remarkably convenient, just a few stops on the underground at Samariterstrasse( 2 mins walk)( U5 - about every 3 mins in the week/every 10 mins on Sundays). Tram is also very convenient(Nos 10 and 13) but takes a more roundabout route. Both take you to the central hub of Alexanderplatz within a few minutes - get yourself a travel card, which covers all forms of transport. Most of the historic sights are in the East, so this hotel is more convenient than staying in Charlottenberg where lots of other hotels are found. Altogether good value and a good experience!

“Fantastic”

The area is great for younger people, being near lots of trendy bars and pubs. Very cheap eating nearby. Lots of chance to do things outside of seeing the touristy stuff being in such an interesting area. Very close to the U-Bahn station Samaritanstrasse, and doesn't take long go get into Mitte if you do want to do tourist things.

Couldnt fault any of it. Peaceful location but close to trains, pubs, restaurants and shops. Lovely staff Clean airy rooms with nice modern atmosphere Good traditionally european breakfast

“Brilliant Berlin”

Hotel was fine - good room and excellent breakfast. No hot water on last morning because of a burst pipe or something but these things happen! Area a bit seedy but underground into city very close and very efficient.

“Perfect for low maintenance travellers”

We are active travellers and did not spend much time in the hotel but it was absolutely perfect for our needs. The rooms are spotless, the beds are so comfortable, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Still can't believe what good value it was. We had breakfast in the hotel one morning and it also did not disappoint, but it is probably a better idea to eat out of the hotel. The surrounding neighbourhood is filled with awesome restaurants, bakeries, bars and cafes, we did not have enough time to eat at all the places we wanted to. Our only complaint was that there was no wi-fi at the hotel, but otherwise cannot say enough about this place.
