“Hoping for a second visit in 2011.”
As above.
“Grand Hotel--for real!”
We chose the Hotel Adlon based on its excellent reviews and we found them all to be true. The hotel is beautiful, really a work of art; the staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful, anticipating one's every need; the rooms are beautifully designed and appointed, the public areas are stunning; the pool and jacuzzi are a delight; the Quarré restaurant is excellent. It IS expensive and the breakfast buffet, while fabulous, is extremely pricey, but definitely worth a visit if you can afford it. It is a wonderful place to be, with a fascinating history--do watch the film about the history of the hotel, available on the hotel TV. We will be going back.
“Best Hotel in Berlin”
We absolutely loved our stay here, this hotel is truly the best in town! 5 star treatment from all staff, comfortable luxurious rooms with beautiful bathrooms, the complimentary use of the spa is heavenly and just the ticket after a busy days' exploring, the lounge is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and read or sip a (fairly expensive but delicious) cocktail. If you fancy a bit of a treat and some serious indulgence, you cant do better than this hotel. Completely faultless.
“Superb Hotel”
The Hotel Adlon Kempinski is located next to the Brandenburg Gate, a prime location. Our stay at the hotel was superb. All the staff were helpful and always ensured our stay was comfortable. Our room was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, charming all at the same time. We would definitely stay at the hotel again and would not hesitate to recommend.
“One of the best in Berlin”
Excellent hotel with Spa facilities. Nice pool although a little small but has a separate jacuzzi. Rooms were a good size although the bathroom toilet space was a little cramped. All rooms had separate shower stalls. Good location - right next to the Brandenburg gate and half way between Potsdamer Platz and Freidrichstasse. There is an underground station right next to the hotel. I recommend this hotel to all travellers whether on business or pleasure.
“Fanstasic hotel”
Fantastic position. Only complaint was that our room was previously used by a smoker and the smell of tobacco was very strong.
“Posh and Perfect”
The Hotel Adlon is absolutely perfect from start to finish. My husband and I had a weekend break in Berlin on the coldest weekend of the year! We could not have had a warmer welcome than we received at the Hotel Adlon which lived up to its reputation of one of the best hotels in the world. Due to blizzard conditions both at home and in Berlin we had delays and were wondering if this was a wise journey. On the way my front tooth fell out. On telling the receptionist, Norma, she immediately got the concierge to arrange for me to go to the nearest dental clinic. Within two hours my tooth was fixed and I was back relaxing in the beautiful spa. The hotel could not be better placed, right next to the Brandenberg Gate and within easy walking distance of major tourist must sees.
“One of the best hotels”
The most perfect hotel! Very central location, stylish with attentive staff. Comfortable room and everywhere very clean. Just watch the price for breakfast downstairs - unless you really indulge it is very expensive, although the quality of food and range on offer is amazing.
“Wonderful long weekend”
We had a lovely room, really luxurious, and a wonderful time in Berlin. The hotel is exceptional. Taking the bike tour on the first day was an excellent idea, because it gave us a good overview of the city and allowed us to choose where we wanted to go on the following days.
“Luxury in Berlin”
The Adlon is a great hotel, pricy but worth it, no problem that you are not a millionare, the staff are extremly pleasant. It is at the centre of Berlin with the Brandenburgh Gate just across the square as you dine, especialy recommended with breakfast, and the Reichstaag just 5 mins away. If you find the hotel restaurants to pricey there are plenty of restaurants out side we deliberatly went for a variety of ethnic eating as part of the fun, not because it was half the price but twice the experience. Taxis are very reasonable, The water tours and city bus hoppers will orient you to a city with lots to see and do with inhabitants who are very friendly and helpful. The whole experience much better than my english. Des
