Great location, very clean and comfortable.
Excellent location, perfect for walking to many places (Hacsher market, Museum Island - 15-20 mins walk), tram and underground virtually right outside, wide choice of restaurants and bars within 2-10 minutes walk. The room was small but adequte, heating was good. The bed was very comfortable. We were right above the little courtyard where people sit to smoke, so sometimes at night we could smell the cigarette smoke in our room, coming in through the slightly open window (needed because the heating is on all the time). The breakfast was perfect - lots of healthy choices.

My favourite street in Berlin
The surroundings of the hotel are great. The hotel is also very nice. Clean and with all kind of expected services in the room (hairdryer, shower cap...). The staff was also very nice and they have lactose free milk, which I find very positive. The only negative thing I would remark is that the lights in the room are a bit dark. Even with all of them on I couldn't read properly the documents I needed to prepare.

Very happy with my stay at this hotel. I stayed in a twin room which was small but perfectly suited to my needs and very clean and comfortable. The location is also great. It is between two subway stops (Orienburger Tor and Orienberger Str.) but also within walking distance of major sites if you'd prefer to walk everywhere. There are also lots of restaurants around and the Neue Synagogue with its gorgeous gold dome is just up the street.

Lovely little boutique style hotel. The rooms were on the small side but they have clearly been redecorated recently. The only real complaint was that the lift was very slow!

Very nice small hotel in easy and pleasant Berlin neighborhood. Staff extremely helpful; breakfast ample and breakfast/bar area attractive. The rooms are comfortable if somewhat small and simple. The related restaurant next door is quite good and there are a number of charming, small restaurants close by. Underground stop in the block and a short walk to Museum Island and/or Friedrichstrasse station.

Superb location rght off a pedestrian zone. Lots of restaurant and shopping options within walking distance. Extremely quiet and upscale rooms and interior. Excellent included breakfast and very stable albeit open wireless Internet. Glad we made this choice. Looking forward to 3 more days in this fascinating city and wonderful hotel.

Decent hotel with metro right outside
Breakfast was great and the kitchen staff made sure that the food and drinks did not run low. Some rooms were nicer than others. The area near the hotel can be a bit loud at night.

The rooms and bathrooms were nice. Breakfast had an excellent selection of food and drinks. There were bus and subway stops right next to the hotel. I recommend checking out early (even the night before) just to make sure the bill is settled properly. The front office might take some time finding the right record and figuring out if rooms had already been prepaid.

A very nice hotel in Berlin
We enjoyed very much our stay at the Hotel 38. The staff was very kind and the person at the reception was very polite and helpful: everything was just fine!! We will definitely come back again to this hotel, especially if they add an expresso machine at breakfast time.

Wow! First time abroad and let me just say I will be choosing Hotel 38 again when I come back to Berlin. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind, the location, perfect. Room was immaculate, warm and cozy. Wifi and breakfast added perks to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I would like to thank all of you again for making my stay enjoyable. If you are looking for a hotel that makes you feel at home away from home, choose Hotel 38. I will be back!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel was within easy walking distance of Oranienburger Strasse station and very convenient to Hackescher Markt and Alexanderplatz. Sights of Berlin were all within a reasonable walking distance or short commute. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We were a party of 3 and had a triple room each with our own bed rather than one in a foldaway. Shower was wonderful but the bathroom was a bit tight but very nicely decorated and very clean. The hotel was very modern and stylish. Breakfast, included in the room rate for us, was very nice and gave us a good start to the day (cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, cereals, bread, yoghurts, juice and nice coffee). Free wifi was a bonus and always worked well. Staff were always pleasant and efficient.

Convenient location on S-bahn, not far from Hauptbahnhof and easily walkable to Museum Insel. Hotel in very good condition, although my room was quite small, in fact, so small that it was hard to walk around to the other side of the bed. My room on the street side with tram was quiet with the windows shut. Service employees were very helpful with transportation and my early departure. Lovely hotel and lovely room.

Nice hotel for a short stay in a good location.
Despite its modest appearance this is a good hotel for a short break, close to S-Bahn station and tram stop. The fact that it it is in a very mild red light and club district shouldn't put anyone off, but do ask for a quiet room overlooking the courtyard or the gardens behind. Our room was small but adequate and the bathroom was also minimalist but had a great walk in shower. The buffet breakfast included in the price was excellent.

Solid, comfortable hotel.
I was happy with this hotel - it was clean and the rooms/bed were comfortable, with nice amenities, although certainly not a luxury hotel. Internet was fast, and breakfast was good. Neighborhood is not quite downtown but within a 5 or 10 minute walk, and plenty of trams/subway stations nearby to get around the city easily. I'd stay here again, and absolutely recommend it.

Top Lage. Vom Parkhaus in ein paar Gehminuten zu erreichen. Ebenso zum Friedrichstadt-Palast zu Fuß innerhalb kürzester Zeit erreichbar. Zimmer sauber. Hotel sauber. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück super, mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet. Super! Check in hat leider nicht zu 14 Uhr geklappt. Das Zimmer war noch nicht fertig.

Camera piccolissima, per non parlare del bagno simile a quello degli aerei. Siamo arrivati dopo la mezzanotte ed il receptionista, oltre a darci delle indicazioni errate sull’indirizzo del parcheggio(20 min a piedi) ci ha intrattenuto per piu’ di mezz’ora con informazioni irrilevanti. Unica nota positiva la colazione a buffet molto varia.

Plus: Sehr gute Lage mitten im Herzen von Berlin. Haltestellen für U- u. S-Bahn, sowie jede Menge Gastronomie in unmittelbarer Nähe. Gemütliche und sehr saubere Zimmer (leider etwas hellhörig). Sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, von Müsli bis Omelette alles dabei. Kleines Minus: in einigen Zimmern der ersten Etage ist manchmal lautere Musik aus dem darunter liegenden Restaurant zu vernehmen. Nach Beschwerde bei der Rezeption wurde diese aber umgehend abgestellt.

Die Lage des Hotels ist top, Straßenbahn und S-Bahn sozusagen vor der Tür, U-Bahn keine 5 Minuten. Das Hotel ist ruhig obwohl ringsum Kneipen, Restaurants und Bars zu finden sind. Wir hatten ein Dreibettzimmer, das von der Größe vollkommen ausreichend war, allerdings ist der Kleiderschrank etwas klein. Alles in allem hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

De ligging is perfect. Veel bezienswaardigheden, waaronder de Museumsinsel op korte afstand van het hotel. Ook halte S-bahn nabij. Veel restaurantjes en Hackesche Höfe maken het af.
