They said they are pet friendly and upon booking I immediately followed up with a message about bringing a pet (cat). They confirmed for a reasonable fee of 20€ this was no problem, this was a week before arriving. After 12pm noon on the day I’m to arrive (ten minutes before boarding my plane) I get a message in German that my pet will not be allowed to stay. A notification this late in the booking, after giving confirmation the pet was allowed, is unacceptable. I made other arrangements for our pet, luckily I had someone in Berlin who could help me. Upon arrival they put us in a room that was not two twin beds as was booked. All of these issues were again raised by me at time of check-in and there was no effort for an apology or explanation by management (the woman checking me in was nice, but unable to assist further, and did fix the room type/bed issue). On check out they attempted to charge me for the pet I told them when checking in that I did not end up bringing. I asked for the manager who was proud to tell me he was such but offered excuses upon hearing my concerns. So I simply left it there, however I do not feel good about how it was handled during the booking, during check in, during check-out, or by management.
