    “Excellent for the many Christmas markets”

    We stayed at the Hilton Berlin, so that we could have a look round most of Berlins Christmas markets. It was perfectly placed being equidistant to the 3 main areas for the markets and there is also a large market about 30 seconds walk away. There is an underground station literally directly outside the hotels front entrance. We preferred to walk, as the buildings and tourist sites were beautiful in Berlin - the zoo was brilliant too.

    “Christmas markets in Berlin”

    There were 3 couples in the party that went to Berlin for the Christmas markets. This hotel was picked because it is right in the middle of Berlin with easy walking to Checkpoint Charlie, Potsdam, Brandenburg Gate and the ReIchtstag and also Alexanderplatz.where the TV tower and revolving restaurant is. The Christmas markets were all in the same areas and are excellent. we stopped last year at this Hotel and found it just excellent, the Breakfast is Buffet style with continental and hot food, eat as much as you like. We intend to go again, will recommend it.

    “Ideally situated for xmas markets”

    This is what is says on the can - a 5* hotel. The facilities, service and location were excellent. It is a few minutes walk from Stadtmitte U station and across the road from Berlin's most popular xmas market. We were delighted to get this 5* booking within our xmas market budget but beware the hotel prices. The full breakfast price is 27 euros.

    Area recommendations
    Being in our 60s we lived through the fall of the Berlin wall but it was quite shocking to see and read about how the East german people suffered. Yiu must visit the Check Point Charlie area and visit the museum. Potsdam and Charlottenburg palace are worth visiting and a musical evening with candlelit dinner at the palace is excellent value.

    “Perfect stay”

    Loved the hotel. The staff were really nice and helpful and the room was awesome. I don't think it is worth paying more for more luxurious hotels in the town as this one has the best possible location (couldnt be more perfect) - it was most convenient to get literally everywhere from there. It is also extremely safe and you feel like you are in the centre of everything. We went in December and there was a beautiful traditional Christmas market on the square just at our doorstep. Not a massive fan of the decor of the rooms but they are very comfortable and clean - a matter of taste. Highly recommended.

    “Excellent hotel and location”

    This was my second stay at the Hilton Berlin. I love the location, next to the beautiful Gendarmenmarkt square with its 2 churches and concert hall, and with a U-Bahn station outside the front door which connects you easily and quickly to any part of Berlin. The hotel is also only a 10 minute walk from the Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn station which has even more fast connections/trains to every part of Berlin and beyond (Potsdam, Schoenefeld airport etc). The breakfasts in the hotel are superb and taken in a lovely light and comfortable dining room. There is also a decent sized indoor swimming pool which is free for guests (you have to pay extra to use the sauna/steam room etc). And the facilities in the bedroom are up to the standards one might expect from a four star hotel. For evening meals, there are at least two very nice and reasonably priced restaurants across the street from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again as and when I hopefully next visit Berlin.

    “Berlins Best!”

    I love this hotel! It is stylish, classy, luxurious, in short, perfect. The staff were very attentive and helpful without being in your face. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was great, the Gendarmarket being on the doorstep with its famous Christmas Markets in Nov / Dec. Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenberg Gate are just minutes away by foot. All in all, it is the only place I will stay when I next visit Berlin!

    The Hilton has it's own restaurant, Mark Brandenberg, serving traditional German cuisine, which I have to say was superb! Try the Spanish Kiss dessert.

    “Good Choice”

    Without much experience in Germany, I wasn't sure where to stay. I know you can always rely on a Hilton Hotel to be clean, friendly, and convienient to the city highlights. Also, considering Europe showers, this one was not too bad.

    “Very good hotel!”

    Hilton always offers a great value and quality of their service in every property and this one is not an exception. Very good location, nice decoration, rooms are OK and the service is satisfactory. If I need to point out someting about his hotel could be improvement on their rooms decoration, which I think is a little bit bored and makes the room's enviorment not that comfortable. I would come back again...
