“Good Choice in Mitte.”

Clean comfortable room with kitchen and a balcony - also a great breakfast! U-bahn at the end of the street, some stores and a bakery right next door. Good central location in Berlin - we enjoyed our stay and the staff was helpful and friendly with every request. A nice hotel!

“A real find”

A great hotel 50m from the metro, with a huge room and fully fitted kitchen to boot. We were 2 guys travelling together to do the marathon and so were a bit unsure about the double bed, but it is two matresses & duvets next each other, so was fine. We didn't have breakfast in hotel, but so many bakeries/supermarkets ther really is no need. For good cheap restaurants walk 5 mins to Oranienburger Tor. Will certainly go back -just don't tell too many other people.

“Excellent location”

Three of us travelled to Berlin for a birthday treat. The apartment was spacious, extremely clean and tidy and the breakfast was pretty good too with very flexible hours. The location is great for the sights, shopping, bars and restaurants, river trips etc. Oranienburgerstrasse is about a 5 min walk away and it is packed with bars and restaurants and it has a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely stay at the HSH again.

“Hotel Mitte”

A great location. Convenient to the center city and shops, etc. Good dollar value for the location. Would stay here again when in Berlin. Large rooms for families.

“Play house in Berlin!”

From the minute we checked in until we checked out we were so happy with this hotel. We stayed in a suite which had a small and very usable kitchen as well as a small balcony. The staff is friendly and helpful (the busboy at the hotel bar even graciously helped us late one night when we were having trouble figuring out how to get into the building!). The hotel is very close to the heart of Mitte but on a sidestreet so it is quiet and peaceful. Nearby to U-Bahn, trams, bars, restaurants and several grocery stores including an organic grocer. Easy to get to from Tegel airport. I can't say enough- it's just a nice place to stay for a very reasonable price.

“Room 243 - Stayed here 15th-18th October 2007 - 2 Adults, 2 Children (boys aged 16 and 13)”

The apartments are excellent, spacious, clean and central i.e. easy to walk to most attractions. There is a large double bedroom with wardrobe, TV and a dressing table. This room overlooks the very busy Invalidenstrasse but no problem as the double glazing kept out most of the noise and we slept fine. There is a large bathroom with power shower, plenty of soap etc and towels. There is a large open plan lounge/bedroom/dining area with kitchen. Our kids slept her on the double sofa bed. OK for young children or of same gender but probably no use for older mixed gender unless one of the adults is going to give up the slightly more comfortable double bed. There is a double glazed balcony separated from the main room by double glazed doors further reducing the road noise. The fridge has mini-bar type offerings. The apartment has a TV, DVD, Stereo/Radio, a safe and hairdryer. Breakfast was fine, it is continental style with lots of ham and cheese but also cereals. Two computers at reception have free internet access. Staff are polite and friendly. The U-Bahn U6 and S-Bahn S1, S2 and S25 are a couple of minutes walk. From Tempelhof and Tegel airports use the U6 getting off at Zinnowitzer Str. We came from Schoenefeld taking the S9 to Friedrichstrasse Station then change to the U6 and get off at Zinnowitzer Str. This journey takes around 50 minutes and costs 2.10euros each. Took taxi back to Schoenefeld, cost 40 euros and took 45 minutes. I hope this helps

“Perfect for a family break”

This is the perfect Hotel for a family break. Within two minutes of the Underground and direct access to the City centre. Well maintained, extremely clean and simply furnished with all the necessary fixtures and fittings, shower, 2 TVs, balconies etc.The staff were friendly and efficient and spoke good english . Whilst breakfast is included, by far and away the best feature for a family is the small kitchen included within the apartment. This means you can cook in if you do not wish to eat out every evening. Advertised as a "home from home" it far exceeded expectations and felt more like an apartment than the normal bedroom and en suite. Excellent if holidaying with teenagers who "like their own space".

“Palatial family apartment at a very reasonable price”

We were very happy with HSH Hotel Apartments Mitte. We booked a family apartment and for this got a big bedroom with two single beds, a large bathroom, a living room (with a double sofa bed), a kitchenette and a hallway. We were very impressed with the size of the place - plenty of room for a family of four. The apartment was regularly cleaned during our 5 day stay. Breakfast was included in our room rate and there was a reasonable selection (croissants, cereals, sausages & scrambled egg etc) although it wasn't always replenished quickly. Location-wise, the apartments are about 15 mins from the Richstag, Brandenberg Gate and one of the main thoroughfares, Unter Der Linden. There is a taxi rank just down the road but many places are within 30-60 minutes walk. We enjoyed a number of the attractions including the Reichstag, TV Tower and Berlin Zoo. The Checkpoint Charlie Museum was fairly interesting although kids may find it boring.

“Enjoyed our Stay”

Had an appartment on the fourth floor facing the road - trams and fire engines could be a bit noisy but the soundproofing was good and after a while we didn't notice it too much. Room was excellent and the staff were helpful, attentive and polite. The accomodation was clean and very spacious. The Underground station is just around the corner together with a selection of decent super markets/shops. Berlin was lovely - lots of building work going on around the city but we did loads of walking and saw all the main sites. We would definately consider going back to Berlin in a few years time and would use this accomodation again.

“Can't wait to go back”

We had such a fantastic stay in Berlin from the moment we got there the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. Travelling with a young family, the room had every home comfort we could have needed and was plenty big enough for the four of us to be able to spread out and relax after a long day exploring the sites. The staff were great with the children and had good ideas for places to see and things to do. Hopefully we'll be back there next year for a longer stay.
