“Good location, friendly staff, reasonable price”

The staff is exetremely friendly and helpful and speaks perfect English. The rooms are huge, very clean and with tons of facilities: oven, cook, dish-washing machine, fridge, dishes, TV, DVD and wireless Internet. The hotel is at a 1 min walk from the closest U-bahn station. From there it is only 3 stops with the subway to the Brandenburg Gate. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your tourist or business trip to Berlin!

“Perfect for the Budget Traveler”

The hotel was located perfectly for walking to downtown Berlin. There were several restaurants on the way to downtown Berlin and a grocery store almost literally right around the corner. The neighborhood was under construction, but it did not disturb our sleep. The hotel itself was very nice and clean, and our room was very spacious.

“Home Suite Home was like Home!”

Home Suite Home was a great place to stay in Berlin. We checked in early and had no problems, we stayed in a junior suite that was bigger than my apartment! It was great having a full kitchen and a extra space. There were two computers for use in the lobby with internet as well as free laundry which came in handy. Home Suite Home was in a great location only a few blocks to Orianenburgerstrass where many restaurants and bars are. We were in Berlin during a heat wave, it was over 90 degrees everyday and the only downfall was no air conditioning, but I would definitely stay here again.

“No Air Conditioning”

We checked in during a July heat wave, with temperatures in the upper 90's. Room was a bit run down with faded and worn couch and a missing picture on the wall but with the hanger still in the wall. Room had one small fan and was unbelievably hot. When we opened the windows, we were on busy street that contained streetcars and people bar hopping late into the night. One of the most miserable nights I can remember. Next day we checked into The Mandala Hotel, which was very nice, even though we had prepaid for four nights in the HSH. In nicer weather the hotel would be fine, but a 3 star at best.

“Good hotel with a decent location”

Kind of a strange hotel and a little confusing when we opened our door to a 2 room suite, but overall a good place to stay for a night or an extremely extended stay. There was construction next door which was very disrupting in the early morning.

“Very good hotel in a convenient location”

This is a real 4-star hotel, conveniently located in the center of Berlin, close to many touristic attractions, very close to the subway, streetcars and buses. The personnel of the hotel was always very polite and helpful. A technical thing that in my opinion needs a bit of improvement is the Wi-Fi, as it was only accessible from the reception or gym room (or possibly the rooms close to them). It would be good to extend the Wi-Fi connection to the rooms on all floors - or install network cables for Internet access.

Area recommendations

The museums area, the Berliner Dom, Alexanderplaz the TV Tower are quite close to the hotel, maybe 10-15 minutes by public transit or at 15-25 minutes walking distance. Also, the Museum of Natural Sciences is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Very nice area. You can find many restaurants in the area, and also 2 supermarkets, Rewe and Netto, as you go South on Chausseestraße from the intersection with Invalidenstraße. If you want to visit more take a 3 or 5 day Berlin Card and use the public transit which is very good in Berlin. You can even get to Potsdam from the hotel in less than an hour: go to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and take an S-train to Potsdam which is a beautiful city outside Berlin (note that you need a card for the ABC zones, which is a few Euro more expensive than one for AB zones).

“Berlin's Home Suite Home”

This is a quirky place but on balance quite pleasant and converniently located close to the new railroad station. Please go across the street for a less expensive breakfast than that offered in house.

“loud tram and bus line outside”

very nice except for no air conditioning and no wifi in rooms,(they have them in the the lobby) which means you have to leave the windows open which wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't a tram right outside the window very loud!, but great location to the U-bahn and S-bahn and all public transportation, so if you dont have a problem with the noise and no a.c. its not bad

Area recommendations

there is great punk rock bar within walking distance "muschi ober hater" ill let you find out what that means when you get there
