“No Room Service”

The mini bar was always empty and they don't have permission for the room service and kitchen service. There were road works in progress in front of the hotel so it's hard for the taxi or any kind of vehicle to get in front of the entrance. Although there's no shops in the neighbourhood in 5 minutes walking you can reach the Checkpoint charlie point and the tube station it's easy enough!

Area recommendations

I recommend the boat tour and the area along the river near the Beliner Dom and the shopping area near the KaDeWe

“good location for a good price”

the hotel is located very close to checkpoint charlie and the center. i rented a bicycle and it was only 5 mins away from the center. you must rent one and follow the berlin line on the ground all around. the bicycle makes it so much easier to get around every where. very clean hotel and friendly staff.

“Happy to Return”

Our stay was extremely comfortable, particulary the quality of bedding and bathroom facilities. We found the hotel restaurant of excellent standard both bar snacks / meals and restaurant meals. The staff were welcoming, efficient but not overly formal.

“Very good new hotel in convenient location”

We were very impressed with the Courtyard. It was clean and new with good-sized comfortable rooms. Staff were helpful and breakfasts were really excellent - an hour's extension to our checkout was arranged without bother. The only downside was the hotel location which was in a slightly scruffy area, although close to Unter den Linden and Museum Island. Overall an excellent hotel for a sightseeing holiday

Area recommendations

Berlin's a great place for sightseeing and eating and drinking. We particularly liked Unter den Linden and Paris Platz. Checkpoint Charlie Museum is a must, as is a trip up the TV tower on Alexander Platz

“Clean and well located”

This hotel was very clean, and the furnishing in the room very recent. The lighting was great and the beds very comfortable. On the whole, more upscale than I expected. I ate at the restaurant, Oléo Pazzo which had excellent Italian at reasonable prices. Also friendly staff. The hotel is well situated, close the U-Bahn and a short walk to the Gendarmenmarkt. It is one street away from a major thoroughfare and so very quiet. There is a construction site between the hotel and the U-bahn, but I didn't find it noisy either.

“Excellent position in Berlin”

This hotel is ideally suited for both business and short breaks - close to the centre as well as both Ubahn and Sbahn. Also quiet and safe.

“Very impressed with the hotel, staff couldn't have been more helpful and rooms were lovely.”

great hotel in good location, very helpful staff and extremely clean. Only area for improvement was the breakfast which wasn't included in the package and was expensive and not very good. Otherwise would highlt recomend using the Courtyard Marriott.

“Good Location”

There was a building site next door, and while there was no work on this when we were there over the Easter weekend, it may an issue at other times. There was a U Bahn station very close so easy to get around the city, plus only about 15mins walk to either Alexanderplatz or Potsdamer Platz. There is a good Irish Pub just across the road which had great service.

Lowenbrau Hall on Leipziger Strasse had great tradition German food and good beer
