“Best Hotel”
Excellent service for small money. A convenient arrangement. A various and tasty breakfast.
“very impressed”
I am very happy with this hotel. I was impressed the breakfast is very good. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Great location and near train station and mall. I had one day no Internet service, but front desk girl let me use the down stair computer for 20 min free.
“Excellent value for money”
City Lights is a well-maintained hotel in a rather unexciting part of Berlin (as far as we could tell). As a family of four, we stayed comfortably in the family room with a double bed and a bunkbed. Nothing fancy but all we needed (the tv wasn't working properly but we didn't care and not even bothered to ask reception to get it fixed). The room and hotel in general were very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast buffer which had everything we needed. From the hotel, it is a short (300m) walk to the U- and S-Bahn station (Gesundbrunnen), it takes just a few minutes to get to Alexanderplatz and/or Hauptbahnhof. This is all very convenient. The hotel is relatively close to Tegel airport (to close next year) but we didn't hear much noise; there is a recycling site next to the hotel which gives a bit of noise, but nothing that bothered us much. From Schonefeld (and/or the new Brandenburg) airport it is quite a distance (50 Euro by Taxi). We should have taken the train/S-bahn to Alexanderplatz. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel; especially if you are travelling as a family. The hotel was cheap and had everything we needed.
“Berlin”
Easy access to S & U Bahns. Short walk to Under ground bunker and flak tower tours. On the route of Berlin City tours. Great breakfast. Free wireless but not particularly fast.
“v good vale”
Really good value though you do need to be able to navigate the U and Sbahn system, though frankly it is not a problem , and can be an adventure
“Friendly, Comfortable, and Reasonably Priced Stay in Berlin”
Citylight Hotel was a very good one-night stay for our family. The Family room boasted 2 bedrooms with a hall and shared bath between them, definitely enough space for 4 adults. The breakfast buffet was excellent too. We just needed a comfortable place to stay, near downtown and an easy drive to the airport. No fancy TV's or anything...Citylight was perfect for us.
“Good value hotel in Berlin”
Good value for the money. Reach breakfast in the nice open room. Friendly staff.
“Convenient Hotel near a U bahn, S bahn and DB Station!”
Stayed in the Citylight Hotel for three nights, with two small children. The hotel staff was kind and helpful. The quad room was equipped with two twin beds and a bunk bed for the kids. The Nearest bahn station is less than 5 min walk. Parking at the hotel is limited but there is plenty parking on the street for free. Breakfast was great and included in the price. There is club ran by the hotel in the basement, so it was a little noisy on Friday, but not any louder than the occasional traffic passing by. Most of the guest seemed to be on school trips but the hotel is large and the staff seemed to control the lobby well.
“The best!”
Best budget hotel out there! Free Internet, free parking, free parking at such a great price! Kid friendly-large family rooms with queen bed and 4 bunkbeds! Subway station just down the street and only 10 minutes into downtown. Friendly staff, clean rooms and great breakfast; can't beat it! There is also an indoor/outdoor rock climbing gym right across the street at a great daily price. I would stay here again!!
“Very Nice”
Good location - right near Ubahn station and it had free parking and easy to get to from the Autobahn (so we didn't have to drive in Berlin much). Climbing wall is across the street. Excellent deal for the money. Wonderful breakfast. Bright colors with nice art work.
