“Central-ish hotel”
The Berlin Mark Hotel is useful for the round Berlin sight seeing trips-the buses stop at the end of the road and for the main shopping street. There are loads of places to have breakfast if one doesn't want to pay 16 Euro which is too much. Rooms were adequate though the first room my friend and I had was too small for two and too hot. The room we moved to was muuch better-actually two rooms with a shared bathroom with a superb shower. Staff were very helpful.
“Good hotel, but too expensive”
Hotel is OK, but the price is too expensive for what you get. Internet access should be free for all room categories.
“optimum choice”
this hotel is a nice place to stay at! Any penny you spend on it, worth it!
“More than perfect”
It is my third visit to Germany, the first to Berlin, yet it was the best of the all. This is due to many factors the most important of which is the hotel I was residing at thanks to Expedia.
“Great location in Berlin”
The hotel was clean, pleasant and in a really convenient spot. We didn't eat there but the bar was nice and staff helpful. Breakfast cost €15 which seemed a bit much and there was no kettle in the room.
“Nothing amazing but nothing wrong with it either”
Nice hotel; nice clean rooms with nice bathrooms. Good location with easy access to public transport. Nothing amazing to speak about, but nothing wrong with it either. The staff bought up extra towels and pillows when needed.
“Terrible Hotel”
what to say.....is there any word than worst......please help me to pick a word... it is terrible hotel. 1. The carpet is dirty and 2. The frontdesk people are rude, and 3. Breakfast are really so so. DO NOT STAY WITH THIS ONE:
“Not 4* but excellent location”
Our 10th visit to this wonderful city, having stayed at various hotels from the Kempinski, Concorde, Radisson at the high end to the Boulevard/Berlin Mark at the cheaper end. Hotel in a great location, if you enjoy the relaxation of the west (i.e. close to brilliant shopping, good bars, restaurants, Savigny Platz, Zoo, Tiergarden), and also 5 minutes walk from the main transport links, both bus and train, making it an ideal base for exploring both the city and further afield. On a quiet tree-lined street, just off Ku'damm, nice reception and bar area, but the room & bathroom were a little disappointing and in need of a refurb. Clean & tidy, with TV & mini-bar, ample storage and comfy, large bed. 4th floor room overlooked rear yard so not a pleasant view from very small opening french door - street view would have been preferable. Our room was to the left of the reception via antiquated lift and looked like this was more the service lift so possibly there are nicer rooms at the other side of the hotel - worth asking, because otherwise would be a great place to be based. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on food, but nice bar opposite where guests were also dining, and very close to other bars, cafes, restaurants, and of course, shops, sights, etc. Very reasonably priced in May, but more 2*-3* so if you get a good deal, it's worth trying, but not if you pay a 4* price.
“"Curtains hanging off rails"”
This is our 2nd visit to this Hotel in the last 6 months and we were hoping for similar experience to 1st visit, which was excellent. We paid extra for a buisness room. The room we were allocated was small, stunk of smoke and the curtains were hanging off the rails adn this was provign difficult to sleep as too much light came in to our room. As part of our business room rate this enabled us to use the business lounge for breakfast, coffees & internet use. We had no luck in connecting to the internet. We called reception to ask if the curtain could be fixed and why we were unable to connect to internet, After 1 hour & when nobody came to our room, we called reception again and they said they hadn't been up to our room as they forgot to ask for our room number and the lady started to laugh her head off at this. She also said the reason we could not connect to internet was they had forgotten to provide us with a password. All in all & considering we paid extra this was not acceptable. We asked for a gesture of goodwill from them as 2 out of our 4 days we were unable to connect to the interent & our room was unacceptable and they said they could not offer us anything and suggested we refer this back to Expedia.
“Very disappointing”
We weren't expecting much anyway, but I'd never go there again. For the price they charge you can get a better place in many of the design hotels in town. Arrogant staff, very small bathroom, the curtains were improvised so the room got very lighty in the mornings.
