Dining

Factory Restaurant and Bar - Located in the lobby and serving a buffet breakfast and a fresh cuisine of light meals and snacks for lunch and dinner. Features pictures of and by Andy Warhol and Campbell's Soup cans with ‘Factory' on the label on each table. Modern furnishings in grey and black, lit by coloured spotlights. Wall-to-wall windows overlook the busy Lietzenburger Strasse with life-size cut-outs of Warhol and photographer Christopher Makos stuck to the glass. The bar serves drinks and snacks throughout the day.

Breakfast hours are: 6.30 AM to 10 AM on weekdays and from 7:30 AM to 11 AM on weekends.

“Comfort, style and Andy Art!”

A really stylish and comfortable hotel quite well positioned in the west end of Berlin central. Staff are great and very helpful. Loved the overall style and modern furnishings - very much our style also. They were extending the reception when we were there but they were doing it so well that it didn't interfere with our comfort. Highly recommended hotel.

“Good value hotel”

“Excellent base for exploring Berlin”

Well located close to K'Dam, and city trains. B'fasts a bit pricey, but options available in the neighbourhood. We found a very nice local intalian restaurant nearby for casual meals at very reasonable prices.

“very convenient/comfortable”

Generally very good. Only a couple of minutes from 249 bus stop and 5 minutes from U Bahn. Room comfortable though lighting could have been better. Also, shower tended to spray water over bathroom floor. Free wifi a plus Didn't eat there but plenty of local places in Uhlandstrasse and Ku'damm

Area recommendations

Where to start? Possibly Checkpoint Charlie to Brandenburg Gate because of the historic associations, and how they have changed

“Really great hotel”

Stayed for 3 nights; clean, bright, fresh hotel. Helpful staff. Little noisy with building work next door but the hotel was really good value (bathrobes slippers etc supplied, lots of toiletries etc). Would definitely stay here again.

“Nice hotel but building works an unpleasant surprise”

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by scaffolding outside, and when shown our room were disappointed to be looking out over a building site at the back. There had been no mention of any works when we booked, had we known we probably would have chosen another hotel. On our first morning, we were predictably woken at 7am by pneumatic drills, so made a complaint and was given an ugraded room at the side of the hotel, which turned out to be a little less noisy. However, we were still affected by morning noise on our last day, so had to complain again. To give credit, the manager was very understanding and did not charge us for car parking for the 3 days (saving us 16 euros per day) and she also gave us free breakfast for our last day, so overall we were happy. Had there been no building works, this would have been a great modern hotel which we would happily choose again- it is in a nice part of town, although it is approx 45 mins walk from the main tourist sites in the city centre. We recommend choosing a good walking tour company to see the main sites - we took a bus tour but our guide didn't speak legible English!

“Great hotel, great location.”

This hotel had friendly and helpful staff and was located in a great area. A 2 minute walk to Kurfürstendamm and 5 minutes from the U-bahn made it really easy to shop/eat close to the hotel or explore the rest of the city. The room was exceptionally clean and unlike some other hotels, looked exactly the same standard that had been shown on the website. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

“Sam and Adrian's Berlin trip”

We stayed for two nights and the hotel was clean, classy and arty!!! Staff were very friendly. Berlin city centre was fantastic - clean, safe and the underground was superb. A well worth trip for anybody wanting to see culture and eat currywurst!!!!!

“Excellent choice of hotel.”

Great position,close to transport links and lots of shops,cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Comfortable,restful(almost NO extraneous noise) and well designed rooms. Great choice in the west of Berlin.

Area recommendations

Kurfustendamm/Charlottenberg. More upmarket feel,peaceful,good shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance. More compact than many other areas.
