“Great place to stay”

This hotel is central and really easy to get to, only a 1 minute walk from the underground station. We were really impressed with the room, it was clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was really good with shower creme supplied! We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

“Agon Aldea Berlin”

The hotel is well placed between the east and west centres of Berlin and both can be reached within 30mins on foot or by the s-bahn station a minute from the hotel. Our room was comfortable, had adequate space for clothes,a tv and minibar, a free safety deposit box and was well cleaned every day. The bathroom was fine although the shower cubicles arent the biggest. The staff were pleasant and all spoke english. I would recommend this hotel, the only negatives being the prositutes who work on almost every street corner in the surrounding area and the fact that there is no luggage room (bags/cases are left in the dining area).

“Fantastic value for money”

A great hotel. There is the odd 'lady of the night' but it's a big city so to be expected. At no time felt unsafe or ill at ease. Right next to the underground station so around five / ten minutes to any part of the city. An hour or so walk to the museum of cinema and Brandenburg Gate or 5 minutes on the U-Bahn.

“City break”

Aldea Novum is a great budget hotel. Ideally located for underground. Staff were very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and a small maintenance issue in the bathroom was dealt with within a couple of hours. Breakfast was terrific - for the price you cannot beat this hotel! Would definately use it again when we return to Berlin, after all a Hotel is just a base on a city break, to sleep, shower and change! At night there were a few "ladies of the night" as you turned left out of the hotel the opposite way to the underground, but there was no hassle and felt completely safe. If you are going to stay on the edge of Schoneberg district you would expect something like this. Would really recommend this hotel for a budget break, but ask for room at back of hotel, as noise of road and railway at front would make it less attractive.

“Christmas Markets - Berlin”

The hotel's location makes it easy to access the U-Bahn and therefore most areas of Berlin. It is quite unassuming so we didn't spot it when we first alighted and walked quite a way following the building numbers before we realised we had gone wrong and the hotel was by the U-Bahn station! Though the hotel was close to the U-Bahn line we were not disturbed by noise at all. We had a great time looking at all the sights and the Christmas markets and would stay there again.

“Excellent Hotel”

Check-in and check-out was extremely easy and the staff spoke very good English, however were also willing to converse in German with any tourist trying to speak the language. There was a slight issue in that the table in our bedroom was wobbly however this was quickly dealt with after we notified a member of staff. The room was kept very clean and the staff were happy to look after our bags before we checked in and after we had checked out which allowed us even more time to explore the city. Brilliant hotel, would definitely visit again.

“Very nice hotel”

Very nice hotel, friendly service, the rate was very good (excluding breakfast), a bargain! I was not expecting such a good room for that price! It was also very quiet, conveniently located next to an underground station. The only downside would be the number of TV and raio channels, but does that matter? I would definitely go back!

“Excellent hotel, very impressed!”

I booked this hotel pretty early so got a discounted rate, and had to make two separate bookings as an extra person was joining us after two nights (booked a twin, then a triple separately). We arrived late and the staff were really friendly with excellent English. The room was amazing for the price, I was expecting something really budget and was pleased to get a fairly big room which was absolutely spotless with nice neutral decor. The hotel combined my bookings and put us in a triple room for the duration of the stay so there was no switching rooms to worry about when my friend joined us, and she assured me that the sofa bed was really comfy! From the hotel you can walk to Potsdammer Plaza (an uncomplicated walk past the Sony Centre) in about 20 minutes, although the Bulowstrase U-bahn station is literally one minute away. Very handy and easy to get to and from Schoenfeld airport with one train change at one of the bigger stations. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone. We didn't have the breakfast as it was quite expensive and there's a 24hour bakery round the corner which was good for breakfasts.

“Good, comfortable”

A fairly standard comfortable hotel. Close to the underground station so easy access to all areas. Plenty of small cafes around the corner.
